Abstract: Figure S1 The relevant question from the clinical reporting form Shows the question patients were asked to grade severity of LS from 1 to 4 Figure S2 Maximum spinal cord dose in patients with unilateral and bilateral neck radiation Box and whisker plot showing no difference in Dmax for patients with unilateral and bilateral neck radiation Figure S3 Dose parameters in patients with no LS symptoms (unshaded, n = 75), and with LS (shaded, n = 42) A – Dose to spinal cord B – Volume of spinal cord receiving 10, 20, 30, and 40 Gy C – Percentage of spinal cord receiving 10, 20, 30, and 40 Gy Figure S4 Dose parameter multi-collinearity plots A – V20% vs V30% B – V20% vs V40% Scatter plots showing significant multicollinearity between V20% and V30%, but less collinearity between V20% and V40% Table S1 Collinearity statistics for models containing V20%, V30%, and V40% Tables showing variance inflation factor and tolerance statistics for logistic regression models containing A V20%, V30%, and V40% (high collinearity); and B V20% and V40% (low collinearity) Table S2 Ordinal logistic regression with highest reported grade of LS as the dependent variable Logistic regression output showing younger age and absence of diabetes are significantly associated with higher grade LS Table S3 Binary logistic regression with LS vs Non-LS as the dependent variable, and absolute dose volumes (in cc) Logistic regression output showing that using absolute volume or percentage volume makes little difference to the predictive power of the model or the odds ratio for variables in the refined model Table S4 Ordinal logistic regression with highest reported grade of LS as the dependent variable, and absolute dose volumes (in cc) Logistic regression output showing that using absolute volume or percentage volume makes little difference to the predictive power of the model or the odds ratio for variables in the refined model (PDF 234 kb)

Unappreciated diversification of stem archosaurs during the Middle Triassic predated the dominance of dinosaurs
Christian Foth,Christian Foth,Martín D. Ezcurra,Martín D. Ezcurra,Roland B. Sookias,Stephen L. Brusatte,Richard J. Butler +6 more
TL;DR: It is indicated that non-archosaurian archosauromorphs were highly diverse components of terrestrial ecosystems prior to the major radiation of archosaurs, including dinosaurs, while disparity patterns of the Ladinian and Carnian indicate a gradual faunal replacement of stem archosaurs by the crown group.
Genetic flow directionality and geographical segregation in a Cymodocea nodosa genetic diversity network
A. Paolo Masucci,Sophie Arnaud-Haond,Víctor M. Eguíluz,Emilio Hernández-García,Ester A. Serrão +4 more
TL;DR: Using the Jensen-Shannon divergence, a directed network of gene flow is extracted describing the evolutionary patterns of Cymodocea nodosa, recovering the genetic segregation that the marine plant underwent during its evolution.
Invariant natural killer T cells in lung diseases.
Dongjin Jeong,Yeonduk Woo,Doo Hyun Chung +2 more
TL;DR: New insights are provided into the biology of iNKT cells in health and disease, with a particular focus on the role of pulmonary iN KT cells in airway inflammation and other lung diseases.

Structural and functional alterations in the brains of patients with anisometropic and strabismic amblyopia: a systematic review of magnetic resonance imaging studies
TL;DR: In this paper , a systematic review of magnetic resonance imaging studies investigating brain alterations in patients with these two subtypes of amblyopia was performed, which revealed that both strabismic and anisometropic patients showed reduced activation and distorted topological cortical activated maps in the striate and extrastriate cortices during task-based functional MRI imaging with spatialfrequency stimulus and retinotopic representations, respectively; these may have arisen from abnormal visual experiences.

The relationship between diaphragm thickness, diaphragm strength and diaphragm endurance in young, healthy individuals
Samantha Taylor Orrey
- 01 Apr 2014
TL;DR: This review highlights the need for further investigation into the determinants of diaphragm strength and its role in endurance in the sport of triathlon.

Lipopolysaccharide-enhanced, Toll-like Receptor 4–dependent T Helper Cell Type 2 Responses to Inhaled Antigen
Stephanie C. Eisenbarth,Damani A. Piggott,James W. Huleatt,Irene Visintin,Christina A. Herrick,Kim Bottomly +5 more
TL;DR: It is reported that low level inhaled LPS signaling through TLR4 is necessary to induce Th2 responses to inhaled antigens in a mouse model of allergic sensitization and provides a potential mechanistic explanation of epidemiological data on endotoxin exposure and asthma prevalence.

House dust mite allergen induces asthma via Toll-like receptor 4 triggering of airway structural cells.
Hamida Hammad,Marcello Chieppa,Frédéric Perros,Monique Willart,Ronald N. Germain,Bart N. Lambrecht,Bart N. Lambrecht +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown in irradiated chimeric mice that Toll-like receptor 4 expression on radioresistant lung structural cells, but not on DCs, is necessary and sufficient for DC activation in the lung and for priming of effector T helper responses to HDM.
Tezepelumab in Adults with Uncontrolled Asthma
Jonathan Corren,Jane R. Parnes,Liangwei Wang,May Mo,Stephanie L. Roseti,Janet Griffiths,René van der Merwe +6 more
TL;DR: Among patients treated with long‐acting beta‐agonists and medium‐to‐high doses of inhaled glucocorticoids, patients who received tezepelumab had lower rates of clinically significant asthma exacerbations than those who received placebo, independent of baseline blood eosinophil counts.

Allergenicity resulting from functional mimicry of a Toll-like receptor complex protein
Aurelien Trompette,Senad Divanovic,Alberto Visintin,Carine Blanchard,Rashmi S. Hegde,Rajat Madan,Peter S. Thorne,Marsha Wills-Karp,Theresa L. Gioannini,Jerry P. Weiss,Christopher L. Karp +10 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that Der p 2 tends to be targeted by adaptive immune responses because of its auto-adjuvant properties, suggesting that intrinsic adjuvant activity by such proteins and their accompanying lipid cargo may have some generality as a mechanism underlying the phenomenon of allergenicity.
