Efficacy of the McKenzie Method in Patients With Chronic Nonspecific Low Back Pain: A Protocol of Randomized Placebo-Controlled Trial
Alessandra N. Garcia,Lucíola da Cunha Menezes Costa,Mark J. Hancock,Matheus Oliveira de Almeida,Fabrício Soares de Souza,Leonardo Oliveira Pena Costa +5 more
TL;DR: This will be the first trial to compare the McKenzie method with placebo therapy in patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain and the results will contribute to better management of this population.
Aerobic fitness determines whole-body fat oxidation rate during exercise in the heat.
TL;DR: In the heat, whole-body peak fat oxidation occurs at higher relative exercise intensities in TR than in UNTR subjects (60% vs. 40% peak oxygen uptake).

The effect of temperature, gradient, and load carriage on oxygen consumption, posture, and gait characteristics
TL;DR: The increased V̇O2 in colder temperatures at the same exercise intensity is predicted to ultimately lead to earlier onset of fatigue and cessation of exercise, highlighting the need to consider both appropriate clothing and fitness during cold exposure.

Do patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes have impaired physical fitness, and energy expenditures?
TL;DR: Using exercise intervention especially comprised of strength training and aerobic activities, including not only daily slow activities but also moderate to vigorous activities, as a lifestyle modification in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients might be helpful for the development of earlier and more successful illness management strategies.
