Abstract: A method is described for the determination of urea in plasma and urine. The effects of variations in the experimental conditions are examined and the results of recovery experiments and other tests of precision and accuracy are reported. In comparison with other methods in current use, this method has distinct advantages in sensitivity, simplicity, and precision, thus economizing in time, sample volume, reagents, and equipment.

Kinetic mechanism of the aliphatic amidase from Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
TL;DR: Kinetic constants for hydrolysis and transfer of the aliphatic amidase from Pseudomonas aeruginosa and apparently anomalous results could be explained by postulating a compulsory isomerisation of the acyl-enzyme intermediate prior to the transfer reaction.

Studies on Antibody Formation in Patients Treated with L-Asparaginase
TL;DR: Twenty-six patients with acute leukemia and different types of solid tumors were treated by daily intravenous or intramuscular injections of L-asparaginase (Bayer A) in doses of 200 IU/kg body weight or, in three cases, 1000IU/kg.

Micromethods for determination of ammonia, urea, total nitrogen, uric acid, creatinine (and creatine), and allantoin
TL;DR: The success with which Krebs and Henseleit employed Warburg’s method of surviving tissue slices in the problem of the formation of urea in the liver encouraged its use for a direct attack on other problems of nitrogen metabolism in animals.
