Abstract: In this paper a novel approach for the calculation of the radar range profile in OFDM radar systems is presented. The proposed algorithm operates directly on the modulation symbols and overcomes the typical drawbacks of correlation based baseband signal processing. An example system configuration as well as simulation results from a dedicated MatLab model will be presented and discussed.

Waveform design and processing techniques in OFDM radar
Gabriel Lellouch
- 01 Jan 2015
TL;DR: Two processing alternatives for the case of a train of wideband OFDM pulses are developed and the first so-called time domain solution consists in applying a matched filter to compress the received echoes in the fast time before applying a fast Fourier transform in the slow time to form the range Doppler image.

Moving target detection based on OFDM radar
TL;DR: According to range-Doppler (R-D) spectrum, as an enhanced detection algorithm of constant false alarm rate (CFAR), a radar-target detection method, also referred to as binary successive target cancellation, is presented.

Multifrequency complementary phase-coded radar signal
Nadav Levanon
- 01 Dec 2000
TL;DR: In this article, a multifrequency radar signal is considered, where the subcarriers are phase modulated by M different sequences that constitute a complementary set such a set can be constructed, for example, from the M cyclic shifts of a perfect phase-coded sequence of length M (eg P4).

Doppler Tolerance of OFDM-coded Radar Signals
G.E.A. Franken,H. (Homayoun) Nikookar,Piet van Genderen +2 more
- 01 Sep 2006
TL;DR: It is shown that the target speed that can be allowed for a single pulse should be limited, and the Doppler tolerance of such a radar is expressed as a function of Dopple frequency and time delay.
