TL;DR: The Pearson r performed better than expected and both were superior to r p in distinguishing matched versus mismatched profiles, and the ICCDE was superior to the other coefficients.

Abstract: Profile similarity or agreement is increasingly used in personality research and clinical practice and has potential applications in many other fields of psychology I compared 4 measures of profile agreement—the Pearson r, Cattell's (1949) r p , McCrae's (1993) r pa , and an intraclass correlation coefficient (double entry), ICCDE—using both broad factor and specific facet profiles Matched versus mismatched self-ratings/other ratings on the NEO Personality Inventory–3 (McCrae, Costa, & Martin, 2005) were used as criteria At the factor level, r pa and ICCDE were comparable, and both were superior to r p in distinguishing matched versus mismatched profiles At the facet level, ICCDE was superior to the other coefficients The Pearson r performed better than expected

Generational differences in young adults' life goals, concern for others, and civic orientation, 1966-2009.
TL;DR: The results generally support the 'Generation Me' view of generational differences rather than the "Generation The authors" or no change views.
Searching for a Vulnerable Dark Triad: Comparing Factor 2 Psychopathy, Vulnerable Narcissism, and Borderline Personality Disorder
TL;DR: Although the VDT members are related to negative emotionality and antagonistic interpersonal styles, they are also related to introversion and disinhibition, and it seems there is a "dark continuum" of pathological personality traits that differ primarily in relation to negative and positive emotionality
Examination of the Section III DSM-5 diagnostic system for personality disorders in an outpatient clinical sample

TL;DR: Overall, these results support the general validity of several of the components of this new PD diagnostic system and point to areas that may require further modification.
Sixteen Going on Sixty-Six : A Longitudinal Study of Personality Stability and Change Across 50 Years
TL;DR: The findings suggest that personality has a stable component across the life span, both at the trait level and at the profile level, and that personality is also malleable and people mature as they age.
A test of two brief measures of the dark triad: the dirty dozen and short dark triad.
TL;DR: Overall, if a short measure of the DT is required, the SD3 yields data that are more consistent with these constructs as they are measured using more established and validated measures.

Comparing correlated correlation coefficients
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide simple but accurate methods for comparing correlation coefficients between a dependent variable and a set of independent variables using the Fisher z transformation and include a test and confidence interval for comparing two correlated correlations, a test for heterogeneity, and a contrast among k ≥ 2 correlated correlations.

Los Cinco Grandes across cultures and ethnic groups: multitrait multimethod analyses of the Big Five in Spanish and English.
TL;DR: In this article, a cross-cultural design was used to compare the Spanish and English BFI in college students from Spain and the United States, to assess factor congruence across languages, and to test convergence with indigenous Spanish Big Five markers.
