A damage constitutive model for intermittent jointed rocks under cyclic uniaxial compression
174
TL;DR: In this article, a coupled damage tensor for intermittent jointed rocks is derived based on the Lemaitre strain equivalence hypothesis, which combines the Weibull statistical damage model for micro-flaws and the fracture mechanics model for macro-joints.

Mechanical Properties of Gas Storage Sandstone under Uniaxial Cyclic Loading and Unloading Condition
TL;DR: In this article , a nonlinear visco-plastic body was proposed by considering the accelerate stage of curves of the axial residual strains, and used the nonlinear VPL body to replace the traditional Nishihara model for cyclic loads.

Experimental Investigation and Energy Evolution of Brittle Limestone Subjected to Multistage Cyclic Loading
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors used limestone collected from the Hongshiyan landslide area induced by the 2014 “8.03” Ludian earthquake in southwest China is used to conduct multi-stage cyclic loading tests and found that as confining pressure, loading frequency, and stress amplitude increase, the dynamic elastic modulus increases gradually.

The effect of viscoelasticity and microplasticity on the P- wave attenuation in dry and water-saturated sandstone: An experimental study
TL;DR: In this paper, the combined effect of viscoelasticity and microplasticity on the longitudinal wave's attenuation was determined by high-resolution measurements performed on dry and water-saturated sandstone by a pulse frequency of 1.5MHz within the strain ranges of ~ (0.3 − 2.0) − 10 − 6 under 10 −MPa confining pressure.

A continuous damage mechanics model for ductile fracture
TL;DR: In this paper, a model of isotropic ductile plastic damage based on a continuum damage variable, on the effective stress concept and on thermodynamics is derived, showing a large influence of triaxiality by means of a damage equivalent stress.
