It will demonstrate how literary memory theories within various conflict fields, including Broch's value concept, contribute to understanding themes, their development, and connections. The project will analyze Broch's novel Erinnerungskonzepte, individual and societal value and identity formation, and the interplay between direct text analysis and Broch's value theories and literary memory theories. Literature is seen as both an eraser and a creator of memory, with selective and memory-shaping functions. The project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the entire novel project.
