TL;DR: The incorporation of a variable speed function into a wind turbine has a variety of benefits, however, the electrical power generated by a wind generator can't be directly used, which must construst a power converter between the generator and the grid as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: The incorporation of a variable speed function into a wind turbine has a variety of benefits, however the electrical power generated by a variable speed wind generator can't be directly used, which must construst a power electronic converter between the generator and the grid This paper presents several different power converter topologies in variable speed wind generation systems Finally, this paper presents other applications for the technology and developments
TL;DR: In this article, a dual-loop control method based on the inductor-current feedback is presented and the parameters of control system are designed by the method of pole configuration, which can improve the dynamic response character of the inverter, make the inverters have good performance with nonlinear load and also reduce the harmonic percentage of the output voltage.
Abstract: Several current-mode inner loop control schemes are discussed in this paper, then a dual-loop control method based on the inductor-current feedback is presented and the parameters of control system are designed by the method of pole configuration. This control method can improve the dynamic response character of the inverter, make the inverter has good performance with non-linear load and also reduce the harmonic percentage of the output voltage.
TL;DR: The principle of a photovoltaic(PV) simulator which emulates the output characteristics of PV arrays is presented and the feasibility of the theory is proved by the results of Matlab simulations.
Abstract: This paper presents the principle of a photovoltaic(PV) simulator which emulates the output characteristics of PV arrays.A simulation model for photovoltaic array simulator under Matlab environment based on the mathematical modules of PV arrays and power electronic technology is built up.In the model, the I-V characteristics of photovoltaic array can be simulated at any corresponding insolation level, ambient temperature and parameters of the photovoltaic module. The feasibility of the theory is proved by the results of Matlab simulations.
TL;DR: The paper translated the MPPT process into processing the solution for nonlinear equations, and a Newton iterative MPPT method has been suggested.
Abstract: In this paper,a new variable step MPPT strategy for PV system application is proposed, based on the mathematic model of PV cells. The paper translated the MPPT process into processing the solution for nonlinear equations, and a Newton iterative MPPT method has been suggested.Analysis has been given for this new MPPT strategy and simulation result proved its feasibility.
