Abstract: In high temperature environments,because of the different thermal expansion coefficients of minerals which consist of rock,mineral boundary and inside will crack.This is the phenomenon of rock thermal fracturing.At present,most researches are laboratory research.Rock thermal fracturing is affected not only by rock character and structure,but also by heating mode and velocity.The parameters will change remarkably within a certain temperature limit including wave velocity,pemeability and wave veloci etc.Rock thermal fracturing has great application prospect and is one of the basic research objects of geodynamics.
