Abstract: The original empirical formula of vibration period about masonry structure supported by frame has consid- erable deflection.Through the calculation and analysis on the vibration period of twelve examples,this dissertation put forward a new formula about the vibration period of the masonry structure supported by frame(including 7 floors ma- sonry structure supported by frame).

Abstract: It has not been broadly accepted that there is certain relationship between slope failure mechanism of ex- pansive soil and its treatment method.The correlation will be discussed in this paper and some examples or experiences for such landslide treatment will be provided based on the analysis and practice of the landslide treatment of expansive soil in landscape area of Zhenjiang Huangshan hill nearby Nanxu Avenue.It is advanced in the paper that the key of the methods for such treatment is water transmitting、draining and as well as slope bracing by anti-slide pile,for these methods are helpful to keeping and recovering the original landscape.The further research for such slope treatment is also put out in this paper.
