Study on surface hold-off voltage test of alumina ceramics in vacuum

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface flashover property of alumina ceramics in vacuum is studied and two types of insulators are selected to test their voltage resistance in vacuum, the results show that the test procedure has obvious influence upon the flashover voltage of ceramic insulators and the surface breakdown voltage of alumin insulator doped with MnO and Cr 2 O 3 is far beyond that of aluminc insulator itself and that compared with polished surface, the surface of as-sintered alumina has a higher flashover voltages in vacuum.

Abstract: In this paper,the define and requirement of heat-resistibility of epoxy resin casting workpiece for high voltage switchgear were discussed.The performances of dielectric constant(e)and dielectric loss(tanδ)?flexural elastic modulus(Ef)?specific heat(Cp)near glass transition temperature(Tg)or heat de-flection temperature(HDT)as well as the relationship between Tg and HDT were studied,which illustrates that the heat-resistibility of epoxy resin casting workpiece charactered by Tg or HDT is reasonable.Ex-cepting insulation,epoxy resin casting workpiece has a function of support,the descend of mechanical strength is before other perpormances change,so the resistible temperature of epoxy resin casting work-piece should defined according to the required mechanical strength at the temperature.

Abstract: The preparation of korshunskite Mg 2 (OH) 3 Cl·4H 2 O whisker was investigated.And the korshunskite Mg 2 (OH) 3 Cl·4H 2 O whisker samples were prepared by liquid reaction method at the atmospheric pressure.Based on the test results of SEM and XRD,the effects of MgCl 2 concentration,CaCl 2 concentration,molrate of active MgO to MgCl 2 ,reaction temperature and ripening time on the preparation of korshunskite whisker are discussed.And the best technological conditions for preparing the korshunskite whisker are put forward as:(1)the concentration of MgCl 2 is between1.5mol·L -1 and2.5mol·L -1 ;(2)pH value is between7and8;(3)the concentration of CaCl 2 is between1.1mol·L -1 and1.6mol·L -1 ;(4)the mol rate of active MgO to MgCl 2 is between0.05and0.2;(5)the reaction temperature is30℃;(6)the ripening time is between54hours and72hours when the ripening temperˉature is30℃.The korshunskite Mg 2 (OH) 3 Cl·4H 2 O whisker of about145μm/long and about0.6μm diametrally wide is obtained.
