TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of the pressure on the critical solid fraction was considered, and a new shrinkage prediction method related to pressure, temperature gradient and cooling rate was put out.
Abstract: In this paper, the influence of the pressure on the critical solid fraction was considered; the critical solid fraction method under the pressure condition was proposed to predict porosity. On the other hand, based on the darcy law, a new shrinkage prediction method related to pressure, temperature gradient and cooling rate was put out. The criterion had been successfully applied in the low-pressure casting module of castsoft, which had been developed by the casting centre of North China Institute of Technology.

Abstract: Dry reclamation of sodium silicate-bonded sands is reviewed in the paper. The keys of reclamation of sodium silicate-bonded sands are collapsibility and dewaxing rate. It is decrement of addition of sodium silicate-bonded sands by various kinds that the collapsibility of the sands is improved. It can obtain higher reclamation capacity that the sands are heated at a certain temperature to make the sodium silicate-bonded film brittle and then the sands are reclaimed by machine. Some suggestion has also been given.

Abstract: The poor corrosion resistance is the primary obstacle to expand the application of magnesium alloys. The corrosion behavior, corrosion classification, negative difference effect and corrosion interface of magnesium alloys are introduced. Influence of impurities, alloying elements such as Re, Al, Ca, Zn etc. and phase structure on corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys are detailed and the development of anti-corrosion magnesium alloys is presented.

Abstract: The same base metal Using ZX5, Zn7,GP welder and the weld microstructure of transition zone was compared in the same condition. The results as below: Arc-weld inversion power's frequency has a effecton on the improvement of the weld grain's thinning and segregation; the greater the power's frequency, the more successful the weld grain's thinning and segregation. Comparing with the other method, this approach is convenient and worth generalizing.

Abstract: Stellie6 alloy powder and Ni60 alloy powder were cladded respectively on the surface of Cr12MoV mould steel using a 5kW CO_2 laser. The microstructure and composites of laser cladding layer were investigated by means of OM and XRD,the microhardness and abrasion performance were also measured and studied. The results show that the laser cladding layer consists of cladding zone, bonding zone and heat affected zone(HAZ);because the substrate was quenched previously, there are second quenching zone and tempering zone in HAZ;the Stellie6 alloy cladding layer is composed of treelike solid solution of Co,carbonizations of Cr_(23)C_6,Cr_7C_3 ,CoCx and WC,etc; Ni-alloy cladding layer is composed of solid solution of Ni, super fine eutectic structure of NiCrFe, solid solution of γ-Fe, carbonizations of Cr_(23)C_6,Cr_7C_3 and boride of Cr_2B,etc;the average microhardness of Ni60 alloy cladding layer is higher than that of Stellie6 alloy;the abrasive resistance performance of Ni60 alloy cladding layer is also better than that of Stellie6 alloy cladding layer.

Abstract: A new method to improve the bonding strength of arc-spraying chromium coatings by arc-ultrasonic is presented. As the heat resource of arc spraying, the arc emits ultrasonic excited by high frequency modulation. Arc-ultrasonic improves the atomization of spraying materials and the bonding strength of spraying coatings, and the bonding strength increases with ultrasonic frequency and excitation voltage.

TL;DR: In this article, the oxide layer of T22 and T91 boiler reheater tube was analyzed and the concentration change of oxidating layer's alloy element was measured by using energy spectrometer.
Abstract: Oxidating failure of T22 and T91 boiler reheater tube caused by high temperature steam was analysed, as well as the concentration change of oxidating layer’s alloy element was measured by using energy spectrometer. The result shows that the capability of heating transfer of T22 and T91 tubes was decreased by oxide layer, which caused the temperature on tube wall increased to a much higher degree. The oxide layer consists of two parts, the inner part is the protective oxide film of Cr and the outer part is Fe_2O_3, and there were many small holes between these two parts. The outer oxide film peeled off and aggregated at the elbow of tubes so that led over heating or superburning of tube wall and explosion of tubes.

Abstract: The iron compound phase morphologies and effect of Ti content on iron compound phase morphologies and mechanical properties are studied in ZL108 alloy which is produced by the pure aluminum ingot and the electrolytic low-titanium aluminum alloy ingot The iron compound phase morphologies and volume change while the Ti content changes in the ZL108 alloy The iron compound phase morphologies become chinese shape in microstructure of the ZL108 alloy containing 0130%Ti as originally they are fish bone shape in microstructure of the ZL108 alloy containing 0009 6%TiWhen it contains 0168%Ti in the ZL108 alloy, the iron compound phase morphologies are smaller chinese shape, the ultimate tensile strength 381MPaWith growth of Ti content, the greater volume of the iron compound phase morphologies like fish bone shape and chinese characters shape is observed, both strength and ductility are decreasing

Abstract: Aiming at the working characteristic of steel rolled guiding board, combining Composite design (mechanism) with foundry technology, using self-made compound additives, a steel rolled guiding board is made by WC particle reinforced gray cast iron matrix composite. The casting has smooth and bright surface, high (accuracy) dimensional tolerances. The composite layer thickness is distributed very well. Its range is (7~9 mm). Applications showed that the serving life of new composite is 5 times than that of the old one.

The technique makes great contributions to the enhancement on mechanical property of casting; it is well adopted for precision casting of large-scale complicated thin-walled components, successful application on the manufacturing of Al alloy castings shows that this technique has profound developmental potential.

Abstract: Influences of conventional heat treatment and double-fined treatment on structure and properties of cold-punching die made of GCr15 steel were compared. The results show that its crystal and carbonization are fined and dislocated martensite become more after double-fined treatment; at the same time, there are more sheet-retained austernite in lathy martensite and around sheet martensite; broken-orifice changes from definitely cleavage brittleness fracture to definitely cleavage tenacity fracture. Double-fined treatment can effectively improve strength and toughness of GCr15 steel,accordingly increase service life of cold-punching die made of the steel.

Fabrication and Mechanical Properties of High Manganese Steel Composites Reinforced with In-situ TiC Particles

Abstract: The high manganese steel matrix composites reinforced with in-situ TiC particles have been made by casting process successfully, the relationship between Ti content and its microstructure and mechanical (property) has been studied well. The results show that microstructure of high manganese steel matrix composite is made of TiC particles, austenite and alloy cementite. Cementite is gradually coarsened and distributed at the boundary of crystal when Ti content is inceased. The more Ti content is, the more amount and hardness TiC particle is. For example, hardness of composites containing 5% Ti is HRC39 after it is heat treated, and is (2.6 times) that of pure high manganese steel. Moreover, the more Ti content is, the less impact toughness is. For example, impact toughness is 60 J/cm~2 after it is quenched.
