Effects of different nutrient solution on pigment content and photosynthesis of Coleus blumei

TL;DR: In this paper, the anthocyanin, chlorophyll and photosynthesis of leaves were measured and the results showed that cultured by clear water and supreme A, which were lack of phosphorus, the content reached 291.2 mg and 210.5 mg/g, respectively.
Abstract: The Coleus blumei was cultured by different nutrient solution in this experiment.The anthocyanin,chlorophyll and photosynthesis of leaves were measured.The results shows that cultured by clear water and supreme A which were lack of phosphorus,the anthocyanin in Coleus blumei was high and the content reached 291.2 mg/g and 210.5 mg/g,respectively.After cultured by supreme A and B with high nitrogen content,the chlorophyll content in Coleus blumei was higher.The potassium content in nutrient solution mainly influenced the stomatal conductance,transpiration rate and photosynthesis rate of leaves.

Abstract: The status of research and exploitation of CP72-1210 as commonly used sugarcane parent was summarized.CP72-1210 was introduced from USA in the early 1980s.Hainan Sugarcane Breeding Station,Guangzhou Sugarcane Industry Research Institute conducted trial crossing with it in 1982/1983 crossing season.After years' experiments,CP72-1210 has become one of the most active and important sugarcane parents in Mainland China,which has produced 14 released sugarcane varieties and a batch of elite breeding materials,of which 26 clones of YT-and YC-series were used as parents in the past five years.Some of the varieties derived from CP72-1210,such as YT93-159,YT89-113,and YT83-271,have been extensive extension cultivars in Guangdong,Guangxi and Yunnan cane growing areas.

Abstract: The"three controls" nutrient management(TCNM) is a new technology with which high and stable yield can be achieved with less fertilizer and pesticide input.Discussed in this paper are some principles of this new technology.(1)Fertilizer-N use efficiency(NUE) is negatively correlated with total N input and N rate at basal and/or at tillering stage.The NUE is greater when fertilizer-N is applied during panicle development and at heading than that applied as basal or at tillering.Therefore the amount of N applied as basal and/or at tillering should be reduced.(2)Tillering rate is determined quantitatively by the existing tiller number,leaf N concentration,and leaf area index.Higher productive tiller percentage(PTP) can be achieved either by reducing maximum tiller number or preventing existing tillers from death.The PTP is closely related with dry matter accumulation dynamics.Limiting dry matter production before panicle initiation is important for reducing maximum tiller number and hence achieving high PTP.(3) The occurrence and development of sheath blight is determined both by climatic factors and canopy indices,i.e.the maximum tiller number,leaf area index,leaf chlorophyll content,and light transmission ratio of the canopy at heading.Thus the disease incidence can be reduced through improved crop management.

Abstract: Four rice combinations were used to study the relationship between distribution of 14C photosynthesis production of flag leaf of main crop and yield of ratooning rice.The results indicated that:(1) About 70%~75% 14C photosynthesis production of flag leaf of main crop was distributed in spikes,and about 25%~30% remained in flag leaves and pedicle sheathes.(2) About 65%~80% photosynthesis production of flag leaf was distributed mainly in the upper second and third internodes of main crop.(3) Distribution proportion of photosynthesis production in spikes was negatively correlated with yield and its components of ratooning rice.On the contrary,its proportion in pedicle sheathes,flag leaves and other leaves was positively correlated with yield and its components of ratooning rice.(4) Distribution proportion of photosynthesis production in any internode was significantly positively correlated with the yield of the same node.

Abstract: The results of the experiment with the field orthogonal design showed that: 1) the plant density and fertilizer N had little effect on leaf length,width and leaf area of the tobacco;with the remaining leaves increasing,the width and area of upper and middle leaves decreased;2) plant density had no influence on the economic characters,when the remaining leaves reduced,the yield and production value increased significantly;yield,production value,proportion of middle and low grade tobacco leaf and average price were relatively satisfied with nitrogen application of 120kg/hm2;3) the nicotine content in tobacco leaf from upper and middle part decreased as fertilizer N reduced,while increased as the plant density reduced,and the nicotine content in lower leaf reduced when the remaining leaves increased.The nicotine content was the lowest when the plant density was 120cm×45cm,fertilizer N application was 112.5 kg/hm2 with 18 leaves remaining per plant.

Abstract: Chicken myofibrillar and soy protein isolate were mixed at 1∶1 and dispersed in 0.3mol/L NaCl solution.Mixture was treated by high pressure of 100,200,400,600MPa,respectively.Results indicated that mixed protein did not form gelatin under the pressure of 100MPa and 600MPa,the texture of the pressure-induced gelatin(200MPa,400MPa),which got stable at 48 h, was better than that of heat-induced gelatin,however,water holding capacity(WHC) was not as good as that of heat-induced gelatin.The electronic micrographs scanning indicated that spacious structure of pressure-induced gelatin was denser than that of heat-induced gelatin.
