Abstract: An active metal charge liner for perforating bullet was designed to enlarge the diameter of the hole in the object.The liner contained an Al/Ni metal system that can generate exothermal reaction by certain external action.Meanwhile,3 active metal material formulas were chosen to develop corresponding experiments,and they were compared with the action of shaped charge liner consisting of cooper-tungsten metal powder.The results show that the addition of certain scale reactive metals can help the shaped charge liner provide certain energy to improve the after effect ability of jet and enlarge the hole diameter.There is no help to increase the jet perforating deep when the mass ratio of copper powder is 10%,while the jet perforating deep was significantly increased when the mass ratio of copper powder grows to 70%.

Abstract: The explosion energy of RDX-based explosive containing hydrogen storage alloy was studied by underwater explosion and air blast in comparison with that of aluminum-containing explosive. It was found that the hydrogen storage alloy-containing explosive with appropriate ingredient had higher underwater explosion energy than aluminum-containing explosive when the content of metal was 30%. The explosives containing A-30 and A-60 increased by 9. 3% and 5. 8% in the bubble-energy,and by 7. 0% and 3. 0% in the total-energy,respectively. The air blast test demonstrates that the overpressure of shockwave of hydrogen storage alloy-containing explosive has no apparent advantage over aluminum-containing explosive at the same measuring point. Experiment results indicate that hydrogen element can improve the oxidation of aluminum and boron by releasing heat and steam,and hence increase the overall energy output.

Abstract: Formulas consisting of AP/MH/p(BAMO-AMMO) propellant was designed to study the effect of metal hydride(MH) on energetic characteristics of propellants based on copolymer of 3,3'-bis( azidomethyl) oxetane( BAMO)and 3-azidomethyl-3- methyloxetane(AMMO).Through gradual substitution of MH for AP,the effect laws of MH to the theoretical specific impulse(ISP) of AP/MH/p(BAMO-AMMO) propellants was obtained.Results show that AlH3 was the most effective material for increasing the ISPof propellents.The ISPof AP /MH /p( BAMO-AMMO) propellant is up to2764.9 N·s /kg when 25% AP is replaced by AlH3,and the ISPof CL-20 /AP /MH /p(BAMO-AMMO) propellant is up to2829.3 N·s /kg when 20% AP is replaced.When all Al is redaced by AlH3,the ISPof a propellant containing p(BAMOAMMO) is improved by 5.1%.

Abstract: This article described various types of explosives detection methods which have already been applied and in research,and pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of each method,focusing on X-ray imaging and neutron detection technology.Many new detection methods are now still in an immature stage,miss report and false alarm can not be avoided.To nuclear detection technology,the main obstacle to wide its application is the high energy sources for high sensitivity and the overlarge device for the corresponding shielding system.
