Abstract: Don Giuspeppe De Luca. Enlightened Reasoning and Love’s Inspiration This essay provides a new interpretation of the life and ideas of Don Giuseppe De Luca (1898-1962), founder of the «Archivio italiano per la Storia della Pietà», with particular focus on the letters exchanged between the ‘Roman priest’ and a number of well known personalities of twentieth century Catholic culture.
