Abstract: Following the concerns raised about the future position of both Design and Technology and Science in the National Curriculum, both the Engineering Council and The Royal Society made submissions to the Government expressing strong support for these subjects to remain an entitlement for all young people in all four Key Stages. The IEE supported both those submissions, but felt that further representation from this Institution concerning the place of electronics in the curriculum was both necessary and appropriate.
