Three-dimensional Laser Detection Algorithm for Highlight on Metal Surface

TL;DR: The results show that the reconstruction accuracy after highlight processing is enhanced nearly 50% corresponding to the reconstruction results of common refinement treatment, and the validity of the method is verified.
Abstract: Focusing on the interference problem of subsequent detection from highlight on metal surface in the process of 3D laser detection, a peak continuity detection method is proposed. Firstly, gray peak in each column is extracted according to the gray information in gray images. Then, the peak validity is estimated based on laser stripe continuity to remove false peak and maintain the valid, and the effect of highlight can be removed. Finally, experi mental results are verified by detecting standard step block. The results show that the reconstruction accuracy after highlight processing is enhanced nearly 50% corresponding to the reconstruction results of common refinement treatment, and the validity of the method is verified.

Abstract: Experimental methods of laser irradiation effect in simulation space condition are introduced.Exper-imental platforms are built and laser-induced damage experiments are performed to silica glass by YAG laser with nanosecond pulse high peak power.Laser-induced damage thresholds of silica glass in low and high vacuum condition are measured respectively.The morphology and chemical compositions of micro-region in damage speckle are compared and analyzed.The function of laser pulse energy deposition and the express of shock wave expansion pressure are given.Corresponding damage morphology and reasons of threshold change are explained.Experimental results are in accordance with theoretical analysis.

Abstract: Larger frequency estimation error will appear when a peak spectrum line phase is closed to±p/2using frequency interpolation algorithm based on the real part of fast Fourier transform(FFT) coefficient. So an improved sine signal frequency estimation algorithm is proposed. The postion of peak spectrum line is firstly indexed by using the real part and imaginary part sequence of FFT coefficient. And then according to the phase of peak spectrum line, the se quences with larger amplitude in real and imaginary part sequences are selected to participate in frequency interpolation. Simulation results show that at the condition ofSNR=3 dB and sampling numberN=128, the root mean square of normalized frequency estimation error at the whole frequency band is less than 0.02 and closed to Cramer-Rao lower bound(CRB). The total performance of the improved algorithm is better than the frequency interpolation and Rife al gorithm based on the real part of FFT coefficient. The improved algorithm has the characteristics of high frequency estimation precision and few computation amounts and it is easy to implement in hardware.

Abstract: According to ratios of filter light and reference light and the relationships of wavelength,changes of external physical quantities are determined caused by changes of ratios.It is the principle of FBG demodulation of linear filters.For traditional filter demodulation system,the relationships between wavelength and ratios are processed in linearity.And curves of linear filters are not entirely linear.In the experiment,deduced ratios in theory are directly proportional to the transmissivity of filters.Temperature,ratios corresponding to strains and wavelength are processed separately.When a strain is zero and temperature changes,a high-order item is added during data fitting process,wavelength and ratios are processed in nonlinearity.When the temperature is a constant but pressure changes,wavelength and ratios are processed in linearity.Fitting results show that curves of wavelength and ratio are similar to filtering curves and wavelength differences are equal corresponding to the same ratios at different temperature curves.

Abstract: According to the research on Sagnac effect and the interference structure of fiber Sagnac loop, the improved schemes of fiber Sagnac loop are introduced in recent years. The plenty of experiments are implemented and the application range is enlarged greatly. Based on the basic principle of Sagnac effect, the main applications and newest developments of fiber Sagnac loop at present stage such as fiber gyro, fiber hydrophone and Sagnac loop filter are summarized. The advanced and new technology directions of fiber Sagnac loop such as changing the struc ture of Sagnac loop, adding medium to Sagnac loop, cascading with other structure, making full-light cache and mul tiple-wavelength fiber lasers are introduced finally.

Abstract: The structure principles and production characteristics of the smoke of burnable carbon black are introduced. The thermal images of the infrared smoke formed by several kinds of infrared smoke agent are tested,compared and analyzed. The results show that the smoke has good obscuring characteristics at the band of3~5μm and 8~12 μm.And the main factors influencing the output of carbon black are the carbon content of com pound, burning speed and temperature.

Abstract: Hardware communication circuits based on field-programmable gate array(FPGA) module on image processing boards of infrared thermal imaging systems are designed and implemented.Serial communication and first-in-first-out(FIFO) reading and writing modes are used in the circuits.On one hand,control data from PC are received and replied in real time by communication circuits.On the other hand,control information interchange is performed through FIFO and data signal processor(DSP) module on image processing boards to form bidirectional communication links among modules.Special serial communication chips such as TL16CP754 used on traditional image processing boards are not adopted in the design.Functions of the chips are realized by FPGA,so the design area and cost are saved.Integration and stability of the system is improved.It is easy to be a miniature and low cost system.Simulation and experiment results show that the design is correct and the system works stably.

Abstract: Types of thermal transmission in chassis for one special electronic equipment are analyzed.Steady thermal simulation is performed by professional thermal analysis software Icepak.To calculate the temper ature field when the blocked structure getting heat equilibrium,reasons that the temperature of inner devices is above upper limited temperature are explained.Two methods for improving structures are proposed.Temperature field in chassis with vent holes on front and back panels for heat exhaust is calculated again.Calculation results show that the highest temperature in inner devices is in permitted operation temperature range.So the tempera ture in chassis is reduced effectively to ensure the equipments in stable and reliable operation states.And struc ture design and improvement effectiveness are enhanced.

Abstract: Thread angle identification is a common method to distinguish thread types. Traditional detection methods have many disadvantages such as low efficiency and high cost and gauges are easy to be abraded. The needs of high efficient development of modern industry are not met any more. CCD is used to obtain the basic im age of thread. And the thread contour is analyzed through image smoothness, edge detection, binary image pro duction and contour hunting. The thread angle parameters are measured and identified. The measurement meth ods of thread angle parameter using machine vision are discussed. And a thread recognition system mainly based on the machine vision recognition technology and integrated visual sensing with image processing system is de signed. The feasibility and correctness of the method is proved from theory and practice.

Abstract: The properties of optical system are affected by laser scattering characteristics of optical mirror significantly. Bidirectional reflectance distribution function(BRDF) of the optical mirror is simulated and calcu lated by modified Mie theory. The results show that the scattering characteristics of light are affected by particu late contaminants on the surface of a mirror obviously. In addition, the wavelength of a beam of incident laser is inversely proportional to BRDF value and scattering will becomes very complicated as the wavelength is shorter.Keeping the surface of optical mirror clean is very important for maintaining the properties of optical mirror.

Abstract: Star target detection is influenced by many environmental factors during daytime. Star target detec tion at the condition of different parameters is analyzed in an ideal environment and the presence of clouds. Infrared radiation is also influenced by uncertain factors such as rain and fog except the main influence factor such as clouds during the transmission in atmosphere. These two uncertain factors are researched. The presence time of rain and fog, place and height are all uncertain factors. Incorporating with the existing experience formulas, radiation attenua tion states at the condition of different parameters are analyzed. The influence from rain and fog on radiation trans mission is quantified.

Abstract: Based on the geometrical invariability of Hu invariant moment,and taking the characteristics of image invariant moment as an input,an improved error back propagation(BP) neural network for batch training is established.According to Bayesian normalization Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm,the calculation accuracy of error functions is optimized and the network is improved so as to realize the optimized parameter combination.An improved BP neural network object recognition model based on invariant moment is built in MATLAB envi ronment.Experimental results show that accurate target recognition and correct interferential image estimation are implemented with the method.

Abstract: An active correlated infrared electro-optical detection alarm system is designed.It includes infrared detection and signal processing systems.Two correlated LH-A electro-optical switches with 3 m detection distance are used as intrusion detectors.When the modulated infrared light beam from the electro-optical switches is obstructed by an object,a switch signal will be produced.The signal is sent to AT89 micro-computer unit(MCU).After processing and judging,an alarm for passing objects at special directions is given out.And the alarm system can be used as a flow counter.The system has the advantages of high reliability,good stability and anti-interference.

Abstract: The edges of speckles in traditional camouflage patterns is smooth and clear which is disadvan tage to blend with the background with broken speckles. The edges of digital camouflage are ambiguous and bro ken. Big speckles can be segmented effectively at short range observation. Spatial color mixture is formed at long distance observation and the effect of camouflage is enhanced greatly. So the digital camouflage is one of the most important parts in camouflage design in recent years. The important step of digital copy camouflage design is from the main color speckle in background to the generation of digital camouflage. According to the spatial col or mixture principle, a probability model of digital camouflage speckle distribution is introduced so as to quantify the distribution of digital camouflage unit. The generation method from main color speckles in background to dig ital camouflage patterns is designed. Incorporating with MATLAB image processing technology and probability distribution models, digital camouflage patterns are generated through programming. The result shows that the digital camouflage patterns with broken edges and good spatial color mixture effect can be generated with the method. And a new idea is provided for the design of digital copy camouflage.

Abstract: Because the scale of software is getting larger and larger,a certain test coverage rate shall be got during software test and the quantities of generated test cases are great.In order to assign limited test resource rea sonably,a case generation method for software test based on orthogonal experiment is proposed.Basic concep tions of orthogonal experiment are introduced.Incorporating with the characteristics of orthogonal method,appli cability and operation process of orthogonal experiment in the area of design software test case are discussed.And an example is given finally.Experimental results show that fewer quantities of test cases are generated and good test effect is got.

Abstract: Trapezoidal distortion correction and clear images collection are important indexes of an optical fingerprint identification system.Total internal reflection acquisition method of surface light source is adopted and cheap k9 glass is chosen as the material of prism.Three pieces of spherical lens is used as an imaging system in which two pieces of small lens can be designed into the same lens by optical design software CODEV.The whole field of view of optical modulation transfer function(MTF) is more than 0.5.There is no trapezoidal distor tion and illumination is uniform.Comparing with other non-trapezoidal distortion productions on market,the product has smaller volume and lower cost.It is easy to fit and can meet the needs of production.

Abstract: Infrared search and track(IRST) system with the characteristics of long detection range, good cam ouflage and low error rate becomes the best detection equipments in the air and on the sea. According to the multi spectral demand of IRST system, an IRST optical system with dual-band common aperture is designed. The system is better than the single-band system in the area of acquiring information. The obtained MWIR and LWIR images can be fused together so as to take the advantages of MWIR and LWIR synthetically. Effective reconnaissance prob ability is enhanced and false alarm probability is reduced. Total focal length of the system is 400 mm, F#=2 and field of view is 2°. The clear imaging in 3~5 μm and 8~12 μm with dual-band common aperture is realized by dis persive RC system. Second imaging is performed on a medium wave system for suppressing thermal radiation stray light from medium wave. Design result indicates that excellent quality images can be produced by the system and the operation requirements of IRST system can be met.

Abstract: In picture archiving communication system(PACS) image processing, the conflict problem be tween resolution and field of vision is often met. The greater is the field of vision, the smaller is the resolution.The problem can be solved by image stitching technology effectively. Choosing a robust and rapid image registra tion method is the most important thing for achieving good effect of image stitching. The image stitching process is introduced at first. Then the advantages and disadvantages of the detection algorithm for different feature points based on feature image registration are analyzed and compared in detail. The detection algorithm for speed ed up robust features(SURF) point is realized through C language finally. And the real PACS images are used to test the effectiveness of detection algorithm for feature points in PACS images.
