Abstract: Hyperspectral remote sensing has the advantages of spectroscopic analysis and imaging,identifying targets with special spectrum and bringing new threaten to military equipments.The rationale of Hyperspectral remote rensing and the development of instruments are introduced,the advantages of Hyperspectral remote sensing in military detection,camouflage distinguishing and hot infrared detection are analyzed.It is pointed out that the green camouflaged targets on woodland can be found by special spectrum identification.Hyperspectral remote sensing can measure the true temperature and emissivity in hot infrared.The camouflage technique and equipments in existence can not meet the request of hyperspectral remote sensing camouflage.

Abstract: Calculation of operating range of infrared systems is an important process before real system design.There are many kinds of calculation methods nowadays.A definition of operating range of IR system is proposed.Based on quantum efficiency of detector,the operating range equation of IR system is derived.According to the equation,operating range of IR system relates to the resolution of the system,but does not directly relate to the system aperture,while the detection background effect to the detector is higher than the noises produced by the detector itself.Experiment data show that the equation is congruous to the fact.
