Abstract: WT5”BZ]:On the surface of Portland cement, four surfactants have different adsorptive behaviors: ethoxylated fatty alcohol sulfate(AES) belongs to LS type of adsorption; cetyl piridinium chloride(CPC) is kinetically controlled; condensates of naphthalene formaldehyde (NS) has a linear relationship of adsorbance vs. concentration; and ethoxylated alkyl phenol (TX-10) does not be adsorbed. All adsorbed surfactants have hydrocarbon chain toward liquid phase and increase hydrophobicity of cement surface. However, AES suffered a change of hydrophilic → hydrophobic → hydrophilic because of formation of adsorptive micelle. Both AES and NS only increase zeta-potential, but CPC changes zeta-potential from negative to positive. A modified stern double-layer model has been proposed to illustrate adsorptive characteristics of above surfactants.

Abstract: The effect of ethylene oxide (EO) chain length in lauryl alcohol ethoxylate on the oily soil detergency of the nonionic/anionic/electrolyte mixed system was stuided, and the results were explained by the view of phase inversion temperature (PlT)and oil/water interfacial tension (lFT) The results are: the optimal EO moles (for maximal detergency)show a monotonically increasing trend when plotted as a function of the ratio of nonionic to anionic concentration for a fixed level of electrolyte; the optimal EO moles also increase with increasing level of electrolytes in the system;the effect of nonionic/anionic ratio is much stronger than the effect of electrolytes on the optimal EO moles

Abstract: The type and stability and the emulsification ability of the emulsion formed by unitary, duality or ternary solutions containing alkalines, surfactants or/and polymer with crude oil are studied under the conditions of the ratios of water and oil and various stirring forces. It is disclosed that the main factors that affect the emulsification in the ASP flooding are water/oil ratio, type and concentrations of chemicals and applied force. The reasons of emulsification of produced fluid in ASP field test of Daqing oil field is also explained.Oil emulsifying and emulsion profile controlling are one of the ASP flooding mechanisms to increase the oil displacement efficiency and sweep efficiency. The laboratory physical simulation shows that the oil emulsification of ASP flooding has improved the interlayer and in situ interference, and the oil emulsification in ASP flooding is in favor of the further improvement of oil recovery.
