Abstract: Reaction time or response time which is the time from the onset of a stimulus to the motor action performed as a reaction, has been an important measure in driving performance studies. The mental events occurred while responding to certain stimuli is called mental chronometry in experimental psychology. A subtractive method by subtracting the time required by various task performance experiments has been suggested to be the easiest way to analyse mental chronometry. While ethnic differences in task performance have been widely reported, the mental chronometry study involving Indonesian subjects is very limited. Therefore in this study we describe the process of mental chronometry in simulated driving tasks among Indonesian subjects. We performed two experiments, the first was to measure the reaction time to three visual display indicators in the form of analogue, digital and hybrid design, and the second was to measure the driving performance in brake and lane change task during fatigue and non-fatigue condition. In all of the experiments, the reaction time is the dependent variable measured. The analogue design was found to produce longer reaction time than both digital and hybrid design. In general, both brake and lane change reaction time produced longer reaction time than display indicator reaction time. Fatigue was found to lengthen reaction time during driving. Lane change reaction task as the most complicated task, affected by fatigue greater than brake reaction task. In general, fatigue lengthens reaction time greater in the more complex task. Thus, in order to prevent traffic accident, it is necessary to simplify the complicated tasks by making better system and environment design as well as the application of driving assistance system. Future studies using physical and physiological measurement methods involving larger number of subjects is necessary.

Abstract: Numerous calls for improved learning outcomes in accounting graduates have been made by the accounting education bodies and the accounting profession. It has been claimed that the quality of student learning can be enhanced by encouraging a deep approach to learning. Research examining accounting students' learning approaches have been growing vastly (e.g., Booth et al., 1999; Davidson, 2002; Duff, 2004; Eley, 1992; English et al., 2004; Hall et al., 2004; Jackling, 2005a?b). However, most of these studies have been focused on learning approaches of accounting students within the Western societies. Only a few studies have explored this issue in the context of Asian accounting students, and most of them have been conducted using Chinese students (Gow et al., 1994; Cooper, 2004). This study aims to add to the body of literature in this area by exploring approaches to the learning of accounting undergraduate students in Indonesia from gender and cultural perspectives. The findings presented in this paper suggest that motivation, culture and learning environment appear to explain more in terms of differences in approaches to learning adopted by the students than gender.

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendukung program pemerintah Indonesia umumnya dan membantu masyakat khususnya dalam meningkatkan kesadaran keuangan/Financial Literacy dan juga membantu masyarakat dalam membuat perencanaan keuangan untuk mempersiapkan masa pensiun.Penelitian ini mengambil sampel dari karyawan sebuah institusi pendidikan swasta di Bandung.Sebanyak 52 responden. Dari hasil analisa diketahui bahwa tingkat kesadaran keuangan/financial literacy karyawan institusi pendidikan swasta X di Bandung ini cukup baik, yaitu sebanyak 73% responden membuat budget keuangan bulanan ,sebanyak 81% responden menabung setiap bulan, hanya sebesar 27% responden memiliki kartu kredit,serta hanya sebesar 31% responden yang mengikuti kegiatan arisan. Sedangkan untuk perencanaan dan pemahaman mengenai prinsip investasi , sebanyak 61% responden sudah mempunyai rencana keuangan jangka panjang, sebanyak 83% responden mengetahui adanya risiko dalam berinvestasi. Dari hasil simulasi yang dilakukan, dengan melakukan investasi secara teratur dan disiplin, ketika memasuki masa pensiun, responden dapat memiliki aset berupa emas atau tanah.

Abstract: The artificial intelligence applied to a drone has enabled a drone-swarm to operate autonomously as a group and unlocked many new potential applications that deal with more sophisticated tasks. In this paper, we present a game theory mechanism and nature-inspired algorithm that enable a fully autonomous drone-swarm to perform cooperative mission-oriented operations to some distinct targets. These operations require a small-team formation for each target with the potential overlap team member between teams and multiple task assignment and operations scheduling to ensure the mission success in a timely manner. The drone-swarm is modeled and simulated as a multi-agents system. A fully autonomous drone is represented as an intelligent agent with a certain dynamic risk tolerance level. An agent can decide based on the current risk tolerance level to participate in the auction-based team formation for a specific target while the genetic algorithm approach is used for the task assignment and operations scheduling. A multi-agent system simulator, which can be used to visualize, evaluate, and analyze the proposed team formation, task assignment, and operation schedule; is built using Netlogo, a multi-agent programmable modeling environment. A case study and its simulation results are provided to demonstrate the potential use of the proposed approach.
