A Fucan Sulfate with Pentasaccharide Repeating Units from the Sea Cucumber Holothuria floridana and Its Anticoagulant Activity
Zimo Ning,Pin Wang,Zhichuang Zuo,Xue-Fen Tao,Li Gao,Chen Xu,Zhiyue Wang,Bin Wu,Na Gao,Jinhua Zhao +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a fucan sulfate (HfFS) was isolated from the sea cucumber Holothuria floridana after proteolysis-alkaline treatment and purified with anion-exchange chromatography.

Peroxidative depolymerization of fucosylated glycosaminoglycan: Bond-cleavage pattern and activities of oligosaccharides.
Xue-Fen Tao,Weili Wang,Xiang Shi,Ding Lan,Hui-Min Mao,Zimo Ning,Li Gao,Zhichuang Zuo,Chen Xu,Zaiqing Yang,Yu Wang,Zhili Zuo,Na Gao,Jinhua Zhao +13 more
TL;DR: In this article , the FG from Stichopus variegatus (SvFG) was depolymerized by H2O2, and a series of yielded mono-and oligo-saccharides were purified.

Structure Elucidation of Fucan Sulfate from Sea Cucumber Holothuria fuscopunctata through a Bottom-Up Strategy and the Antioxidant Activity Analysis
Libiao Gao,Chen Xu,Xue-Fen Tao,Zhichuang Zuo,Zimo Ning,Linghui Wang,Na Gao,Jinhua Zhao +7 more
TL;DR: The antioxidant activity assays in vitro showed that FSI and the depolymerized product (dFSI′) had potent activities for superoxide radical scavenging activity with IC50 of 65.71 and 83.72 μg/mL, respectively, while there was no scavenging effect on DPPH, hydroxyl and ABTS radicals.
Mild acid hydrolysis on Fucan sulfate from Stichopus herrmanni: Structures, depolymerization mechanism and anticoagulant activity.
TL;DR: In this article , a relatively simple structure {-3)-L-Fuc2S-(α1-n)-n was identified as the micro-component in the intact structure of Fucan sulfate from sea cucumbers.

Structure characterization of a highly branched galactan from the slug Vaginulus alte and its utilization by human gut microbiota.
Zhichuang Zuo,Zhicheng He,Yan-ling Ma,Chen Xu,Xue-Fen Tao,Zimo Ning,Li Gao,Ailainuer Rehemiding,Na Gao,Jinhua Zhao +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the slug Vaginulus alte is used as folk medicine in China, but the structure and activities of its galactan components remain to be clarified, and the Mw of VAG was determined as ~28.8 kDa.
