TL;DR: In this article , the precipitation and relative crystallographic relationships of η-type (MgZn2) precipitates at the interfaces between the quench-induced S phases and Al matrix were studied in an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy by coupling Cs-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) with scanning precession electron diffraction (SPED) technology.

Improving wear resistance and friction stability of FeNi matrix coating by in-situ multi-carbide WC-TiC via PTA metallurgical reaction
TL;DR: In this paper, a new type of FeNi matrix composite coating reinforced with multi-scale carbides WC-TiC fabricated by in-situ synthesis method PTAMR (plasma transferred arc metallurgical reaction).

Strengthening behavior analysis of weld metal of laser hybrid welding for microalloyed steel
TL;DR: In this paper, the weld metal with high strength and good toughness was obtained for medium thickness microalloyed steel by using high power laser hybrid welding technology, and the results showed that the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of weld metal are up to 713 MPa and 918 MPa, respectively.

Effects of the long-time thermal exposure on the microstructure and mechanical properties of laser weldings of Inconel 617
TL;DR: In this article, the area fractions and average diameters of M23C6 carbides increased due to the long-range diffusion of Cr atoms at 950°C, while the impact energy values of weld metals exposed at 850°C increased because of a decrease of Cr in solution.

Effects of isothermal heat treatment on nanostructured bainite morphology and microstructures in laser cladded coatings
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple model has been established to describe the microstructures and the bainite sheaves growth evolutions during the isothermal holding at different transformed temperatures.
