Microstructure and corrosion properties of CrMnFeCoNi high entropy alloy coating
TL;DR: In this paper, a single phase multi-component alloys up-to-date with promising mechanical properties at cryogenic temperatures, including corrosion resistance, is studied. But, the study on the corrosion behavior of CrMnFeCoNi HEA coating has still been lacking.

Characterization of heat affected zone liquation cracking in laser additive manufacturing of Inconel 718
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effect of grain boundary misorientation on susceptibility to liquation cracking in laser additive manufactured Inconel 718, and the results showed that the tendency of liquation film to crack increased with grain boundary angle, which was considered to be attributed to the higher stability of liquid at larger grain boundary during the last stage of solidification.

Dendritic microstructure and hot cracking of laser additive manufactured Inconel 718 under improved base cooling
TL;DR: In this paper, the dendritic microstructure, crystal orientation and hot cracking behavior were studied by using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) techniques.

Improved high-temperature hardness and wear resistance of Inconel 625 coatings fabricated by laser cladding
Kai Feng,Yuan Chen,Pingshun Deng,Yuyan Li,Haixing Zhao,Fenggui Lu,Ruifeng Li,Jian Huang,Zhuguo Li +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the microstructure, hardness and wear resistance of Inconel 625 coatings were investigated at both room and elevated temperatures, and the results indicated that laser cladded inconel 675 coating has finer microstructures, alleviated segregation of Mo and Nb and lower dilution of iron compared with arc welded one as revealed by XRD, SEM and EDS.

Study on the element segregation and Laves phase formation in the laser metal deposited IN718 superalloy by flat top laser and gaussian distribution laser
Yuan Chen,Yuan Chen,Yanbing Guo,Mengjia Xu,Chunfei Ma,Qunli Zhang,Liang Wang,Jianhua Yao,Zhuguo Li +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the performance of flat top laser beam (FTLB) and gaussian distribution laser beam(GDLB) for laser metal superalloy, and showed that the FTLB is more superior for the laser additive manufacturing than that of the GDLB.
