Effects of Short Circuit Currents on Quench and Recovery Properties of YBCO Tapes for DC SFCL
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of short circuit currents on quench and recovery properties of the superconducting tapes of dc resistive type SFCLs were investigated and the highest temperature was 379.2 K for YBCO tapes when a short circuit current of 10 kA was applied for 50 ms.

Anode Current Density Distribution Measurements for Different Vacuum Arc Modes Subjected to Axial Magnetic Field
TL;DR: In this article, the anode surface was divided into four regions: one central region and three symmetrical-disposed peripheral annular-arc regions, with diameters of 12, 18, and 20 mm.

Influencing Factors on Quench and Recovery of YBCO Tapes for DC Superconducting Fault Current Limiter
TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical analysis method was proposed to analyze quench propagation and recovery characteristics of dc resistive type superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) based on thermal conduction theory.

Experimental Tests of DC SFCL Under Low Impedance and High Impedance Fault Conditions
TL;DR: In this paper, the behavior of an SFCL coil is investigated under both low-and high-imperceptible fault conditions in DC systems, and it is shown that the low impedance fault condition system can effectively suppress the fault current under low impedance short-circuit faults.

Inrush Current Prestrike Arc Behaviours of Contact Materials CuCr50/50 and CuW10/90
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of different contact materials on the inrush current arc behaviors of VIs during capacitive making processes was investigated. And the results indicated the impact of different materials on prestrike arc behaviors and reveal the contact erosion patterns for different materials.
