The overall effectiveness of a website as an e-commerce platform is influenced by how usable it is. This study aimed to find out if advanced web metrics, derived from Google Analytics software, could be used to evaluate the overall usability of e-commerce sites and identify potential usability issues. It is simple to gather web indicators, but processing and interpretation take time. This data is produced through several digital channels, including mobile. Big data has proven to be very helpful in a variety of online platforms, including social networking and e-commerce websites, etc. The sheer amount of data that needs to be processed and assessed to be useful is one of the main issues with e-commerce today as a result of the digital revolution. Additionally, on social media a crucial growth strategy for e-commerce is the usage of BDA capabilities as a guideline to boost sales and draw clients for suppliers. In this paper, we have used the KMP algorithm-based multivariate pruning method for web-based web index searching and different web analytics algorithm with machine learning classifiers to achieve patterns from transactional data gathered from e-commerce websites. Moreover, through the use of log-based transactional data, the research presented in this paper suggests a new machine learning-based evaluation method for evaluating the usability of e-commerce websites. To identify the underlying relationship between the overall usability of the eLearning system and its predictor factors, three machine learning techniques and multiple linear regressions are used to create prediction models. This strategy will lead the e-commerce industry to an economically profitable stage. This capability can assist a vendor in keeping track of customers and items they have viewed, as well as categorizing how customers use their e-commerce emporium so the vendor can cater to their specific needs. It has been proposed that machine learning models, by offering trustworthy prognoses, can aid in excellent usability. Such models might be incorporated into an online prognostic calculator or tool to help with treatment selection and possibly increase visibility. However, none of these models have been recommended for use in reusability because of concerns about the deployment of machine learning in e-commerce and technical issues. One problem with machine learning science that needs to be solved is explainability. For instance, let us say B is 10 and all the people in our population are even. The hash function’s behavior is not random since only buckets 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 can be the value of h(x). However, if B = 11, we would find that 1/11th of the even integers is transmitted to each of the 11 buckets. The hash function would work well in this situation.

E-Commerce Website Usability Analysis Using the Association Rule Mining and Machine Learning Algorithm

From the perspective of user needs, a design evaluation system for dining room chairs that can meet user needs was established. Based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), the user needs of a dining room chair were quantitatively analyzed by combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Moreover, the comprehensive weight ranking of 14 factors in the object hierarchy was obtained, which provided the design focus and quantitative indexes for designers in the early stage of dining room chair design. Then, in the later stage of dining room chair design, the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) method was used to quantitatively evaluate the three design schemes and obtain the optimal design scheme. The experimental results showed that the user needs evaluation results were positively correlated with the “excellent” grade in the FAHP method. This indicated that the evaluation system realized a symmetry, reliability, and effectiveness between the user needs evaluation and FAHP. Therefore, it can be concluded that this evaluation system based on AHP and FAHP proposed in this study has reliability and validity, and it can be used for design evaluation to judge the popularity of products, enhance the competitiveness of products, and reduce product design costs.

Evaluation and design of dining room chair based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy AHP

Biology provides a rich and novel source of inspiration for product design. An increasing number of industrial designers are gaining inspiration from nature, producing creative products by extracting, classifying, and reconstructing biological features. However, the current process of gaining biological inspiration is still limited by the prior knowledge and experience of designers, so it is necessary to investigate the designer’s perception of biological features. Herein, we investigate designer perceptions of bionic object features based on Kansei engineering, achieving a highly comprehensive structured expression of biological features forming five dimensions—Overall Feeling, Ability and Trait, Color and Texture, Apparent Tactile Sensation, and Structural Features—using factor analysis. Further, producing creative design solutions with a biologically inspired design (BID) has a risk of failing to meet user preferences and market needs. A user preference prediction support tool may address this bottleneck. We examine user preference by questionnaire and explore its association with the perceptual evaluation of designers, obtaining a user preference prediction model by conducting multiple linear regression analysis. This provides a statistical model for identifying the relative weighting of the perception dimensions of each designer in the user preference for an animal, giving the degree of contribution to the user preference. The experiment results show that the dimension “Overall Feeling” of the designer perception is positively correlated with the “like” level of the user preference and negatively correlated with the “dislike” level of the user preference, indicating that this prediction model bridges the gap caused by the asymmetry between designers and users by matching the designer perception and user preference. To a certain extent, this research solves the problems associated with the cognitive limitations of designers and the differences between designers and users, facilitating the use of biological features in product design and thereby enhancing the market importance of BID schemes.

A User Biology Preference Prediction Model Based on the Perceptual Evaluations of Designers for Biologically Inspired Design

Color is the external manifestation of ethnic minority culture, and the costume of each ethnic group has its objective color matching rules. In the color design of minority costumes, there is often a lack of scientific evaluation methods. Aiming at this problem, this article proposed a comprehensive evaluation method, based on the K-Means clustering method, for evaluating color matching schemes of minority costumes. We used the K-Means clustering method to analyze the objective laws of minority costume colors, and based on the objective laws found, we extracted the objective evaluation indicators. With the AHP (analytic hierarchy process) method, the judgment matrix was established to obtain the relative weights of each cultural image and objective evaluation indicator. Based on the trapezoidal fuzzy number, the user’s evaluation value of the cultural image index was clarified. The GRA-TOPSIS evaluation method was introduced to rank the color matching schemes of minority costumes. Taking the evaluation of the color matching scheme of Yi costumes as an example, this article confirmed that the proposed comprehensive evaluation method can effectively screen out the color matching schemes with the characteristics of minority costumes and can rank the color schemes to be evaluated according to their relative similarity degree to the color characteristics of minority costumes. The method integrated subjective and objective evaluations, overcame the problem of contradictory results of subjective and objective evaluations, and achieved a certain degree of symmetry between the objectivity of the color laws of minority costumes and the subjectivity of the cultural image of minority costumes. In addition, we also found the possibility of using K-Means clustering to extract the main color features of minority costumes to improve the design of color schemes.

The influence of national policies on the evolution of industrial design education in China

With the development of various intelligent technologies, the application of interactive interfaces is becoming more and more widespread, and the related researches conducted for interactive interfaces are also increasing. The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of icon layout location, icon graphic type, and icon layout method on users’ searching performance in interactive interfaces through eye-tracking technology. Participants were asked to perform search tasks for the search target (facet icon or linear icon) on each image. Thus, each trial consisted of a search task on a given image. In total, each participant had 36 trials to complete. Searching time, fixation duration, and fixation count were collected to evaluate the searching performance of participants. Results showed that when faced with familiar icons, whether the graphic type of icons was facet or linear did not affect the user’s experience, but when other factors of the interaction interface changed, facet icons provided a more stable experience for users. And compared to the rectangular layout, the circular layout method provided a more stable experience for users when the location of icons in the interactive interface changed, but icons located in the top half of the interactive interface were easier to find than those located in the bottom half, regardless of whether the layout was circular or rectangular. These results could be used in the layout and icon design of the interactive interfaces to facilitate their optimization.

Evolution And Trends Of China's Industrial Design Education Under the Guidance of Policies: Visual Analysis Based on Citespace

Product evaluation is very important for product improvement and development, and subjective product evaluation determines customer’s evaluation of products to some extent, so the purpose of this study is to establish a reasonable subjective product evaluation system. In this study, we comprehensively determine the evaluation indexes based on Kansei engineering (KE), establish an overall product evaluation system by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and establish the subjective product evaluation system by classifying the evaluation indexes in the overall product evaluation system into “objective evaluation index” and “subjective evaluation index”, removing the objective evaluation indexes, and retaining the subjective evaluation indexes. Additionally, we select some modern chairs as experimental samples to verify the reliability and validity of this subjective product evaluation system by means of questionnaires. The experimental results show that, in this subjective product evaluation system, the subjective evaluation of the product is positively correlated with the “favorite” level of the product in comprehensive evaluation, and negatively correlated with the “least favorite” level of the product in comprehensive evaluation, indicating that this subjective product evaluation system realizes a symmetry between subjective product evaluation and comprehensive product evaluation. Therefore, it can be concluded that this subjective product evaluation system based on KE and AHP proposed in this study has reliability and validity, and can be used for product evaluation to judge the popularity of products and enhance the competitiveness of products.
