Moringa Oleifera Alleviates Homocysteine-Induced Alzheimer's Disease-Like Pathology and Cognitive Impairments.
Yacoubou Abdoul Razak Mahaman,Fang Huang,Mengjuan Wu,Yuman Wang,Zhen Wei,Jian Bao,Maibouge Tanko Mahamane Salissou,Dan Ke,Qun Wang,Rong Liu,Jian-Zhi Wang,Jian-Zhi Wang,Bin Zhang,Dan Chen,Xiaochuan Wang,Xiaochuan Wang +15 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided that MO alleviates tau hyperphosphorylation and Aβ pathology in a HHcy AD rat model, which supports MO as a good candidate for, and could provide new insights into, the treatment of AD and other tauopathies.
Intranasal Insulin Prevents Anesthesia-induced Cognitive Impairments in Aged Mice.
Xing Li,Xiaoqin Run,Zhen Wei,Kuan Zeng,Zhihou Liang,Fang Huang,Dan Ke,Qun Wang,Jian-Zhi Wang,Rong Liu,Bin Zhang,Xiaochuan Wang +11 more
TL;DR: Intranasal insulin administration might be a promising therapy to prevent anesthesiainduced cognitive deficit in elderly individuals.

HIF-1α Causes LCMT1/PP2A Deficiency and Mediates Tau Hyperphosphorylation and Cognitive Dysfunction during Chronic Hypoxia
Ling Lei,Jun Feng,Gang Wu,Zhen Wei,Jian-Zhi Wang,Bin Zhang,Rong Liu,Fei Liu,Xiaochuan Wang,Hong-Lian Li +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the role of HIF-1α (the functional subunit of hypoxia-inducible factor 1) in tau pathology was investigated, and it was found that HIF1α decreased the protein level of LCMT1.

USP10 deubiquitinates Tau, mediating its aggregation
Zhen Wei,Kuan Zeng,Jichang Hu,Xing Li,Fang-Ke Huang,Bin Zhang,Jian-Zhi Wang,Rong Liu,Hong-Lian Li,Xiaochuan Wang +9 more
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors found that USP10 is upregulated in postmortem human AD and APP/PS1 mice brains, but not in P301S mice brains.
GSK-3β and ERK1/2 incongruously act in tau hyperphosphorylation in SPS-induced PTSD rats.
Zhen Wei,Yacoubou Abdoul Razak Mahaman,Yacoubou Abdoul Razak Mahaman,Feiqi Zhu,Mengjuan Wu,Yiyuan Xia,Kuan Zeng,Ying Yang,Rong Liu,Jian-Zhi Wang,Jian-Zhi Wang,Xiji Shu,Xiaochuan Wang,Xiaochuan Wang +13 more
- 23 Sep 2019
TL;DR: It is suggested that SPS exposure results in differential tau phosphorylation at different sites probably due to incongruous action between AKT-related GSK-3β activation and SGK1-related ERK1/2 inactivation, suggesting a link between SPS-induced PTSD and AD-associated tau pathogenic mechanisms.
