Do politically connected independent directors matter? Evidence from mandatory resignation events in China

Air pollution and procyclical mortality: Evidence from China
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper found that air pollution is one of the reasons for procyclical fluctuations in total mortality in China, and that economic booms lead to severe air pollution, worsening human health and thus increasing death rates.

Error Analysis and Comparison of Two Algorithms Measuring Compensated Income
TL;DR: It is proved that Vartia’'s algorithm and Breslaw and Smith’s algorithm both converge quadratically; when the price change within each partition step is small, the error of Vartias algorithm is approximately half that of Bres Law and Smith's algorithm.
