TL;DR: In this article, a method for preparing a carbon nanotube of silicon dioxide by using a multi-wall carbon-nanotube as a template is presented. But the method is not suitable for the preparation of silicon-oxide nanotubes, as it requires high tubulation rate, integral shape, smooth wall and no visible defect.

High-throughput production of high-quality graphene by exfoliation of expanded graphite in simple liquid benzene derivatives.
TL;DR: It is shown that the expanded graphite can be effectively dispersed and exfoliated in several common benzene derivatives including chlorobenzene, benzyl chloride, o-dichlorobenzenes and nitrobenzene to produce high-quality graphene sheets.
