Molecular Photoswitches for Super-Resolution Optical Imaging
Ming-Qiang Zhu,Guo-Feng Zhang,Zhe Hu,Matthew P. Aldred,Zhen-Li Huang +4 more
- 25 May 2013
TL;DR: In this article, a series of fluorescence molecular switches including spiropyrans, dithienylethenes (DTEs), and hexaarylbiimidazoles (HABIs) were investigated.
Structural anisotropy quantification improves the final superresolution image of localization microscopy.
Yina Wang,Zhen-Li Huang +1 more
TL;DR: With simulated as well as experimental data of a biological specimen, it is demonstrated that exploring structural anisotropy has allowed us to obtain superresolution images with a much cleaner background.
Characterizing and correcting camera noises in back-illuminated sCMOS cameras
TL;DR: In this article, the impact of different types of camera noises on image quality and performance of back-illuminated sCMOS cameras is investigated and correction methods to push the non-uniformity of major camera noises, including readout noise, offset, and photon response, to a satisfactory level for conventional microscopy and single molecule localization.
Effects of fixed pattern noise on single molecule localization microscopy
TL;DR: A quantitative investigation on the effects of FPN on single molecule localization microscopy via localization precision and localization bias found that FPN leads to almost no effect on localization precision, but introduces a certain amount of localization bias.
