Clinical validation of a multiplex droplet digital PCR for diagnosing suspected bloodstream infections in ICU practice: a promising diagnostic tool
Jing Wu,Bin Tang,Yuzhen Qiu,Ruoming Tan,Jialin Liu,Jiang Xia,Jing Zhang,Jing Huang,Jie-Ming Qu,Jingyong Sun,Xiaoli Wang,Hong-Ping Qu +11 more
TL;DR: A prospective diagnostic study of multiplex drop digital PCR (ddPCR) panels was conducted in a general ICU from May 21, 2021, to December 22, 2021 as mentioned in this paper , where paired blood cultures (BCs) and ddPCRs (2.5 h) were obtained synchronously to detect the 12 most common BSI pathogens and three antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes.
Identifying Drug-Induced Liver Injury Associated With Inflammation-Drug and Drug-Drug Interactions in Pharmacologic Treatments for COVID-19 by Bioinformatics and System Biology Analyses: The Role of Pregnane X Receptor
Jingjing Huang,Zhaokang Zhang,Chenxia Hao,Yuzhen Qiu,Ruoming Tan,Jialin Liu,Xiaoli Wang,Wanhua Yang,Hong-Ping Qu +8 more
TL;DR: This study showed the pivotal role of PXR associated with inflammation-drug and drug-drug interactions on DILI and highlighted the cautious clinical decision-making for pharmacotherapy to avoid DILi in the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

Validation and Extrapolation of a Multimodal Infection Prevention and Control Intervention on Carbapenem-Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae in an Epidemic Region: A Historical Control Quasi-Experimental Study.
Yunqi Dai,Tianjiao Meng,Xiaoli Wang,Bin Tang,Wang Feng,Du Ying,Yuzhen Qiu,Jialin Liu,Ruoming Tan,Hongping Qu +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effects of comprehensive infection prevention and control (IPC) interventions for the prevention of the cross-transmission of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) within intensive care units (ICUs) in an epidemic region.
Association of Increased Circulating Acetic Acid With Poor Survival in Pseudomonas aeruginosa Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia Patients.
Xiaoling Qi,Li Zhang,Jing Xu,Zheying Tao,Xiaoli Wang,Yuzhen Qiu,Tingting Pan,Zhaojun Liu,Hongping Qu,Ruoming Tan,Jialin Liu +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the association between circulating SCFA levels and clinical outcomes in patients with PA-VAP and found that increased circulating acetic acid is associated with 90-day mortality in patients.

Serum ACTH and Cortisol Level is Associated with the Acute Gastrointestinal Injury Grade in ICU Patients
Yuzhen Qiu,Hongping Qiu,Ming Zhong +2 more
TL;DR: The ACTH and cortisol levels were positively correlated with the higher severity of AGI grade, suggesting the cortisol level may be a useful way to access the GI injury.
