Brønsted Acid-Controlled [3 + 2] Coupling Reaction of Quinone Monoacetals with Alkene Nucleophiles: A Catalytic System of Perfluorinated Acids and Hydrogen Bond Donor for the Construction of Benzofurans
TL;DR: This new coupling reaction smoothly proceeded with high regiospecificity in regard with QMAs for introducing π-nucleophiles to only the carbon α to the carbonyl group, thereby providing diverse dihydrobenzofurans and derivatives with high yields under mild conditions in short reaction times.

A new arylation of silyl enol ethers by quinone monoacetal substitution
Toshifumi Dohi,Tohru Kamitanaka,Hitoho Takamuro,Yusuke Mishima,Naohiko Washimi,Yasuyuki Kita +5 more
TL;DR: Quinone monoacetals (QMAs) were found to be convenient substrates for a unique arylation reaction of enol silyl ethers as discussed by the authors, and valuable α-aryl carbonyl compounds containing o-phenol moieties can be obtained directly under mild conditions without lactone formation.

A case of breast cancer with extensive colon metastasis
Jin Imai,Toru Hanamura,Aya Kawanishi,Takashi Ueda,Yusuke Mishima,Ayano Ito,Yoshihiro Shirataki,Masashi Morimachi,Toshio Kodama,Hirohiko Sato,Motoki Kaneko,Masaya Sano,Erika Teramura,Makiko Monma,Shingo Tsuda,Kota Tsuruya,Hajime Mizukami,Yoshitaka Arase,Mia Fujisawa,Saya Miyahara,N. Nakamura,Takashi Suzuki,Masashi Matsushima,Hidekazu Suzuki,Shinji Takashimizu,Tatehiro Kagawa,Yasuhiro Nishizaki +26 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a rare case of gastrointestinal metastasis of invasive lobular carcinoma that spread extensively to the colonic mucosa was reported. But the authors did not identify the cause of the metastasis.

Broensted Acid‐Controlled [3 + 2] Coupling Reaction of Quinone Monoacetals with Alkene Nucleophiles: A Catalytic System of Perfluorinated Acids and Hydrogen Bond Donor for the Construction of Benzofurans.
TL;DR: In the presence of fluorinated terephthalic acid as a catalyst, products are obtained in somewhat lower yields as discussed by the authors, and the reaction can also be performed in the absence of a catalyst.
A New Arylation of Silyl Enol Ethers by Quinone Monoacetal Substitution.
Toshifumi Dohi,Tohru Kamitanaka,Hitoho Takamuro,Yusuke Mishima,Naohiko Washimi,Yasuyuki Kita +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a mild metal-catalyst-free access to α-arylated carbonyl products containing a 2-phenol moiety was proposed, which offers mild metal catalytic free access.
