Synthesis and structural characterization of two-coordinate low-valent 14-group metal complexes bearing bulky bis(amido)silane ligands.
TL;DR: X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis revealed that the metal centres in 3b, 4, and 5b are sterically protected to prevent interaction between the metal centre and the nitrogen donors of adjacent molecules while complex 5a shows a dimeric feature with a strong intermolecular Pb···N interaction.

Direct α-alkylation of ketones with primary alcohols catalyzed by iridium–CNP complex
TL;DR: In this paper, the α-alkylation of ketones with primary alcohols was realized by CC crosscoupling with iridium-CNP complexes as catalyst, which proceeds via dehydrogenation reactions, aldol condensation, and hydrogenation using the borrowed hydrogen atoms from alcohols.

Stable and highly efficient Cu/TiO2 nanocomposite photocatalyst prepared through atomic layer deposition
TL;DR: In this paper, a stable and highly efficient Cu/TiO2 nanocomposite photocatalyst was successfully synthesized through atomic layer deposition (ALD), and a series of spectroscopic tests confirmed that subnanoscale Cu particles were conformally dispersed on TiO2, and that TiO 2 surface states could be modified by controllable Cu particles.

Synthesis of arylsulfonyl-quinones and arylsulfonyl-1,4-diols as FabH inhibitors: Pd-catalyzed direct C-sulfone formation by CS coupling of quinones with arylsulfonyl chloride
TL;DR: In this article, the Pd-catalyzed direct C-sulfone formation by C S coupling of quinones with arylsulfonyl chloride has been developed.

A heteroleptic cyclometalated iridium(III) fluorophenylpyridine complex from partial defluorohydrogenation reaction: synthesis, photophysical properties and mechanistic insights.
TL;DR: In this article, a C-F bond activation reaction of a chloro-bridged iridium(III) dimer was reported, leading to the formation of a heteroleptic cyclometalated iridium-III fluorophenylpyridine complex 2.
