Investigations on the extraction of molybdenum and vanadium from ammonia leaching residue of spent catalyst
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the extraction of molybdenum and vanadium from ammonia leaching residue (main chemical composition: 2.05% Mo, 0.42% V, 65.6% Al2O3 and 10.7% SiO2) by roasting the residue with soda carbonate.

Research on the recycling of valuable metals in spent Al2O3-based catalyst
TL;DR: In this paper, a new technology was developed to recover multiple valuable elements in the spent Al2O3-based catalyst by X-ray phase analysis and exploratory experiments, and the experiment results showed that in the condition of roasting temperature of 750 Â c and roasting time of 30 Â min, mol ratio of Na2O: Al 2O3 1.2, the leaching rate of alumina, vanadium and molybdenum in the used catalyst is 97.2%, 95.8% and 98.9% respectively.

Studies on recovery of vanadium from desilication residue obtained from processing of a spent catalyst
TL;DR: In this article, the recovery of vanadium from desilication residue obtained from the processing of a spent catalyst was investigated by leaching, purification and precipitation, and the results showed that vanadium can be extracted from the residue with less than 4% vanadium loss.

A review of non-conventional metals extracting technologies from ore and waste
TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison of metal extraction using the two techniques is presented; some conventional methods are discussed, as well as the problems they present, and possible ways to recycle the ligand(s) and recover metals in their pure (reduced) state highlighted.

Study on the structure of Bayer liquor with spectroscopy and MD simulation
TL;DR: In this article, the combination of Raman and IR and MD simulation was applied to explore the structure characters of Bayer liquor, and it was found that the maximum concentration of Al ( OH ) 4 - occurs in low caustic solutions, but in high causic solution, the appearance of Al( OH ) 6 3 - was found.
