Knowledge of emergency management of avulsed tooth among Japanese dental students
TL;DR: These results suggest that education in first aid for accidents that occur outside dental clinics or hospitals is insufficient and Japanese dentists and dental educations must immediately improve the utilization of the guidelines for dental trauma and the education of undergraduate students and patients in the management of dental trauma using an integrated approach.

Serum leptin levels negatively correlate with trabecular bone mineral density in high-fat diet-induced obesity mice.
TL;DR: It is concluded that bone loss at these two sites is differentially regulated in mice and it is demonstrated that serum leptin may be a useful indicator of risk for osteoporosis associated with diet-induced obesity.

TL;DR: T tonsilloliths are relatively more common than previously suggested, however, panoramic radiographs detect only a small percentage of palatine tonsil under the soft palate and the low detection rates might be related to the degree of calcification, size, and number of tonsiloliths.
Detection and imaging characteristics of the gubernacular tract in children on cone beam and multidetector computed tomography.

Factors associated with masticatory performance and swallowing threshold according to dental formula development
TL;DR: Changing in swallowing threshold did not coincide with masticatory performance according to dental formula stage, and maximum occlusal force was the variable most strongly associated with swallowing threshold in children, while in young adults, better mental health status was closely associated with a higher swallowing threshold.
