Metabolomic study of the intervention effects of Shuihonghuazi Formula, a Traditional Chinese Medicinal formulae, on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) rats using performance HPLC/ESI-TOF-MS
TL;DR: The mechanism of therapeutic effects of SHHZF on liver cancer by adjusting the activities of PE N-methyl transferase, Lysophospholipase D, methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase and lysophosphlipase was elucidated by the method of metabonomics for the first time.

Neferine ameliorates nonalcoholic steatohepatitis through regulating AMPK pathway.
Ming-yue Wang,Shao-Shi Zhang,Meng-fei An,Yueming Xia,Mao-Si Fan,Ze-Rui Sun,Li-Juan Zhang,Yun-Li Zhao,Jun Sheng,Xuanjun Wang +9 more
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the effect of Neferine (NEF) on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and found that NEF played a protective role in hepatic steatosis via the regulation of AMPK pathways.

Sinomenine Hydrochloride Can Ameliorate Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia by Lowering the 5α-Reductase 2 Level and Regulating the Balance between the Proliferation and Apoptosis of Cells
Mao-Si Fan,Yueming Xia,Ruihua Ye,Ze-Rui Sun,Ming-yue Wang,Meng-fei An,Shao-Shi Zhang,Lijun Zhang,Yun-Li Zhao,Zemin Xiang,Jun Sheng +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the effect of Sinomenine hydrochloride (SIN) on BPH and its potential mechanism of action, and found that SIN administration inhibited the proliferation of BPH-1 cells by regulating the expression of androgen-related proteins (steroid 5-alpha reductase 2 (SRD5A2), androgen receptors, prostate-specific antigen), apoptosis related proteins (B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2), Bcl-associated X protein (Bax), and proliferation related proteins(proliferating cell nuclear antigen), mammalian target of rapamycin, inducible nitric oxide synthase) in vitro.
Identification and characterization of nucleotide metabolism and neuroendocrine regulation-associated modification patterns in stomach adenocarcinoma with auxiliary prognostic assessment and immunotherapy response prediction
TL;DR: In this article , a pan-cancer overview of nucleotide metabolism and neuroendocrine-related genes (NMNGs) was explored through the integration of expression profiles, prognostic values, mutation information, methylation levels, and pathway-regulation relationships.
