Thermo-electrochemical coupling for room temperature thermocatalysis in pyroelectric ZnO nanorods
Weiqi Qian,Zheng Wu,Yanmin Jia,Yuanting Hong,Xiaoli Xu,Huilin You,Yangqiong Zheng,Yuntao Xia +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a strong thermo-electrochemical coupling in solvothermally-synthesized ZnO nanorods is achieved by combining pyroelectric effects and electrochemical oxidation, and is employed for room temperature thermocatalysis.

TL;DR: A pyro-electro-chemical catalytic dye decomposition using lead-free BaTiO3 nanofibers was realized under room-temperature cold-hot cycle excitation (30-47 °C) with a high Rhodamine B (RhB) decomposition efficiency ~99%, which should be ascribed to the product of pyroelectric effect and electrochemical redox reaction as discussed by the authors.
