Switching of Charge Transport Pathways via Delocalization Changes in Single-Molecule Metallacycles Junctions.
Ruihao Li,Zhengyu Lu,Yuanting Cai,Feng Jiang,Chun Tang,Zhixin Chen,Jueting Zheng,Jiuchan Pi,Rui Zhang,Junyang Liu,Zhao-Bin Chen,Yang Yang,Jia Shi,Wenjing Hong,Haiping Xia +14 more
TL;DR: X-ray diffraction and UV-vis absorption spectroscopy suggested that the attached phosphonium group makes metallacycles more delocalized, which shortened the preferred charge transport pathway and significantly enhanced the single-molecule conductance.

Metallapentalenofurans and Lactone-Fused Metallapentalynes
TL;DR: This study offers a new route for the construction of polycyclic metalla-aromatics as well as planar Möbius aromatic species by the reactions of osmapentalyne with terminal aryl alkynes in the presence of H2 O or HBF4 /H2 O.

Photothermal Möbius aromatic metallapentalenofuran and its NIR-responsive copolymer
Zhengyu Lu,Yuanting Cai,Yuanqing Wei,Qin Lin,Jiangxi Chen,Xumin He,Shunhua Li,Weitai Wu,Haiping Xia +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a photothermal metallapentalenofuran with terthiophene moiety was obtained from the reaction of metallapyrene, terminal arylalkynes and water in air.

Access to tetracyclic aromatics with bridgehead metals via metalla-click reactions.
Zhengyu Lu,Zhengyu Lu,Qin Zhu,Yuanting Cai,Zhixin Chen,Kaiyue Zhuo,Jun Zhu,Hong Zhang,Haiping Xia,Haiping Xia +9 more
TL;DR: An unprecedented family of aromatics, in which a metal center shared by 4 five-membered aromatic rings has been achieved by using the metalla-click reactions with excellent yields and remarkable regioselectivity, enabling their potential applications in photoelectric materials and biomedicine.

Cylindrical NIR-Responsive Metallopolymer Containing Möbius Metalla-aromatics
TL;DR: In this article, a corn-like cylindrical metallopolymer was constructed from the controlled polymerization of N-isopropylacrylamide by a polyrotaxane-based macroinitiator, followed by postpolymerization modification with a photothermal metalla-aromatic complex.
