Hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery versus open surgery for colorectal disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis
TL;DR: HALS has the advantages of minimal invasion, lower blood loss, shorter incision length, and faster recovery, and it can shorten the length of hospitalization without an increase in costs; the drawbacks are that a small number of patients who undergo HALS may need to be converted to laparotomy, and the oncologic safety and long-term prognosis are not clear.

The necessity of indwelling gastrointestinal decompression after gastrectomy: a meta-analysis.
TL;DR: Routine gastrointestinal decompression after gastrectomy does not promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function or reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, and the length of hospital stay was prolonged significantly in the decompression group compared with the nondecompression group.

Identification and validation of ferroptosis key genes in bone mesenchymal stromal cells of primary osteoporosis based on bioinformatics analysis
TL;DR: 5 key Ferr-DEGs associated with primary osteoporosis and ferroptosis are identified, namely, sirtuin 1(SIRT1), heat shock protein family A (Hsp70) member 5 (HSPA5), mechanistic target of rapamycin kinase (MTOR), hypoxia inducible factor 1 subunit alpha (HIF1A) and beclin 1 (BECN1), which were verified in an animal model.
