Mikania micrantha genome provides insights into the molecular mechanism of rapid growth.
Bo Liu,Jian Yan,W.S. Li,Lijuan Yin,Ping Li,Hanxia Yu,Longsheng Xing,Min-Ling Cai,Hengchao Wang,Mengxin Zhao,Jin Zheng,Feng Sun,Zhenzhen Wang,Zhaoyang Jiang,Qiaojing Ou,Shubin Li,Lu Qu,Qilei Zhang,Yaping Zheng,Xi Qiao,Yu Xi,Yan Zhang,Fan Jiang,Cong Huang,Conghui Liu,Yuwei Ren,Sen Wang,Hangwei Liu,Jianyang Guo,Haihong Wang,Hui Dong,Changlian Peng,Wanqiang Qian,Wei Fan,Fanghao Wan +34 more
TL;DR: It is shown that M. micrantha achieves higher photosynthetic capacity by CO2 absorption at night to supplement the carbon fixation during the day, as well as enhanced stem photosynthesis efficiency, and can increase the availability of nitrogen by enriching the microbes that participate in nitrogen cycling pathways.
Giant african snail genomes provide insights into molluscan whole‐genome duplication and aquatic‐terrestrial transition
Conghui Liu,Yuwei Ren,Zaiyuan Li,Qi Hu,Lijuan Yin,Hengchao Wang,Xi Qiao,Yan Zhang,Longsheng Xing,Yu Xi,Fan Jiang,Sen Wang,Cong Huang,Bo Liu,Hangwei Liu,Fanghao Wan,Wanqiang Qian,Wei Fan +17 more
TL;DR: The assembled chromosome‐level reference genome for Achatina immaculata and compared the genomes of two giant African snails to other available mollusc genomes suggested a WGD event, and the adaptive mechanism of WGD in terrestrial ecosystems was confirmed by the presence of gene families related to the respiration, aestivation and immune defence.
The landscape of lncRNAs in Cydia pomonella provides insights into their signatures and potential roles in transcriptional regulation
Longsheng Xing,Yu Xi,Xi Qiao,Cong Huang,Qiang Wu,Nianwan Yang,Jianyang Guo,Wanxue Liu,Wei Fan,Fanghao Wan,Wanqiang Qian +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, an atlas of codling moth lncRNAs was constructed based on publicly available RNA-seq datasets, which provided a valuable resource for the comparative and functional study of long noncoding RNAs, which will facilitate the understanding of their mechanistic roles in transcriptional regulation.
Full-length codling moth transcriptome atlas revealed by single-molecule real-time sequencing.
TL;DR: In this article , PacBio single-molecule real-time sequencing was conducted to obtain FL transcriptome data in the codling moth, and 25,940 high-quality FL isoforms were obtained and clustered to 14,099 nonredundant clusters.

Comparative Genomics Provide Insights Into Function and Evolution of Odorant Binding Proteins in Cydia pomonella
Cong Huang,Xue Zhang,Dongfeng He,Qiang Wu,Rui Tang,Longsheng Xing,Wanxue Liu,Wenkai Wang,Bo Liu,Yu Xi,Nianwan Yang,Fanghao Wan,Wanqiang Qian +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the number, variety, gains and losses, and evolution of OBP genes in C. pomonella were investigated using both genomic and transcriptomic analyses.
