Building Microbial Hosts for Heterologous Production of N-Methylpyrrolinium.
TL;DR: This study presents the first microbial synthesis of N-methylpyrrolinium and lays the foundation for heterologous biosynthesis ofN-methyl pyrrolinsium-derived alkaloids and can serve as important alternative tools for identifying undiscovered pathway enzymes with a synthetic biology strategy.

- 05 May 2020
TL;DR: In this article, a method for preparing N-methyl pyrroline through combined catalysis of three enzymes is presented, which comprises the following steps: taking L-ornithine as a substrate, and carrying out combined Catalysis by using ornithine decarboxylase EcODC, putrescine Nmethyltransferase AtPMT and amine oxidase AaDAO3.
