Inhibiting HMGB1-RAGE axis prevents pro-inflammatory macrophages/microglia polarization and affords neuroprotection after spinal cord injury
Hong Fan,Hong Fan,Hai-Bin Tang,Zhe Chen,Huqing Wang,Lei Zhang,Yu Jiang,Tao Li,Cai-Feng Yang,Xiaoya Wang,Xia Li,Shengxi Wu,Guilian Zhang +12 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that inhibiting HMGB1 or RAGE effectively decreased the numbers of detrimental pro-inflammatory macrophages/microglia while increased anti-inflammatory cells after SCI and therapies designed to modulate immune microenvironment based on this cascade might be a prospective treatment for SCI.
A case report of thrombolysis resistance: thrombus ultrastructure in an ischemic stroke patient
Ye Li,Heying Wang,Lili Zhao,Yating Jian,Meijuan Dang,Yu Jiang,Yiheng Zhang,Lei Zhang,Huqing Wang,Ru Zhang,Mingxia Chen,Guilian Zhang +11 more
TL;DR: Grid-like dense fibrin, compressed polyhedral erythrocytes, and large accumulation of neutrophils may be characteristics of thrombolysis resistant thrombi.
