Computer implemented methods and systems for generating virtual body models for garment fit visualisation
Tom Adeyoola,Nick Brown,Nikki Trott,Edward Herbert,Duncan Robertson,Jim Downing,Nicholas P. J. Day,Robert Boland,Tom Boucher,Joseph A Townsend,Edward Clay,Tom Warren,Anoop Unadkat,Yu Chen +13 more
- 21 Jan 2016
TL;DR: In this article, a virtual body model of a person is created with a small number of measurements and a single photograph, combined with one or more images of garments, which can be used for visualizing photo-realistic fit visualizations of garments.

Inferring 3D shapes and deformations from single views
Yu Chen,Tae-Kyun Kim,Roberto Cipolla +2 more
- 05 Sep 2010
TL;DR: A novel probabilistic inference algorithm for 3D shape estimation is proposed by maximum likelihood estimates of the GPLVM latent variables and the camera parameters that best fit generated 3D shapes to given silhouettes.

Methods of generating personalized 3d head models or 3d body models
Yu Chen,Dongjoe Shin,Joseph A Townsend,Jim Downing,Duncan Robertson,Tom Adeyoola +5 more
- 15 Aug 2016
TL;DR: In this paper, a method of generating an image file of a personalized 3D head model of a user is presented. But the method consists of the following steps: (i) acquiring at least one 2D image of the user's face; (ii) performing automated face 2D landmark recognition; (iii) providing a 3D face geometry reconstruction using a shape prior; and (iv) providing texture map generation and interpolation with respect to the face geometry reconstructions.

3D reconstruction of curved objects from single 2D line drawings
Yingze Wang,Yu Chen,Jianzhuang Liu,Xiaoou Tang +3 more
- 20 Jun 2009
TL;DR: A novel approach to the reconstruction of solid objects that have not only planar but also curved faces is proposed, which demonstrates the ability of the approach to perform curved object reconstruction successfully.
Learning shape priors for single view reconstruction
Yu Chen,Roberto Cipolla +1 more
- 01 Sep 2009
TL;DR: A probabilistic framework for prior-based reconstruction is proposed, which requires no heuristic of the object, and can be easily generalized to handle various categories of 3D objects.
