Internal Resonances for the Heave Roll and Pitch Modes of a Spar Platform Considering Wave and Vortex Exciting Loads in Heave Main Resonance
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the nonlinear coupling internal resonance of the heave, roll, and pitch response performance of a spar platform when their frequencies are in the ratio of 2:1:1 under wave and vortex exciting loads.

Study of the natural vibration characteristics of water motion in the moon pool by the semi-analytical method
TL;DR: In this article, the three-dimensional natural vibration characteristics of water inside a moon pool of an ocean structures are studied, and a semi-analytical method is used to solve the governing equations, and the natural frequencies and the motion modes are obtained.

Nonlinear random motion analysis of a Tension Leg Platform considering the set-down motion of a floating body
TL;DR: In this article, the dynamic analysis of a Tension leg platform (TLP) in random wave is investigated by considering the setdown of a floating body and the coupled motion of the tension leg and platform and the differential equations of the motion are established.

Automatic free span assessment for subsea pipelines using static strain data
TL;DR: In this paper , a batch-mode inverse finite element method (iFEM) is proposed to reconstruct the full-field deformation using noisy static strain data, and a model updating procedure is conducted to find the best predictions on the free span length.

Nonlinear random motion analysis of coupled heave-pitch motions of a spar platform considering 1st-order and 2nd-order wave loads
Shuxiao Liu,Yougang Tang,Wei Li +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered first and second-order random wave loads and the effects of time-varying displacement volume and transient wave elevation to establish motion equations of the Spar platform's coupled heave-pitch.
