In Situ TEM Electrical and Mechanical Probing of Individual Multi-walled Boron Nitride Nanotubes
TL;DR: In this article, measurements of electrical and mechanical properties of individual multi-walled BN nanotubes inside a high-resolution transmission electron microscope are presented, and a high resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is used to evaluate the properties of the BN tubes.

Single-crystalline ZnS nanobelts with sharp ultraviolet (UV) emission at room temperature as UV-light sensors
Xiaosheng Fang,Yoshio Bando,Meiyong Liao,Ujjal K. Gautam,Tianyou Zhai,Dmitri Golberg +5 more
- 04 Mar 2010
TL;DR: In this paper, an effective approach for the synthesis of single-crystalline ZnS nanobelts possessing sharp UV emission at RT via right selection of source materials and controlling their evaporation and agglomeration rates was demonstrated.

Observation of defects in deformed and hydrogen-charged iron by electron microscopy.
TL;DR: Vacancy clusters with sizes of the order of 1 nm were observed in cold-rolled and hydrogen-charged iron specimens and the size and the density of the observed vacancy clusters were of the same order as those predicted previously based on positron-annihilation results.
