Co3O4 nanocages with highly exposed {110} facets for high-performance lithium storage
TL;DR: These Co3O4 nanocages with highly exposed {110} reactive facets via a one-step solution method deliver a high reversible lithium storage capacity and exhibit an excellent rate capability as anode materials in lithium-ion batteries.

Structures of a hollow filamentary conical helix.
Fangfang Xu,Yoshio Bando +1 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that the size of the CSL, hence the density of the coincidence lattice sites, dominates the overlap configuration of a conical helix.

Silicon multi-branch nanostructures for decent field emission and excellent electrical transport
TL;DR: By improving the silicon nanobranch-electrode contact, vacuum annealing dramatically reduced the electrical resistance, by a factor approaching two, while thermal oxidation resulted in a much higher resistance due to the amorphous oxide coating of the silicon Nanobranches, both of the current versus voltage curves became more linear and symmetrical, and the transport stability was obviously improved.

Single Crystal Growth of Two-Dimensional Cyano-Bridged Coordination Polymer of Co(H2O)2Ni(CN)4·4H2O Using Trisodium Citrate Dihydrate
Alowasheeir Azhar,Alowasheeir Azhar,Mohamed Zakaria,Jeonghun Kim,Jongbeom Na,Jongbeom Na,Jongbeom Na,Yusuf Valentino Kaneti,Amanullah Fatehmulla,A.M. Aldhafiri,W. Aslam Farooq,Yoshio Bando,Yusuke Yamauchi,Yusuke Yamauchi,Jianjian Lin +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a single crystal Co(H2O)2Ni(CN)4·4H 2O has been successfully synthesized by a slow diffusion method using trisodium citrate dihydrate for controlling the nucleation rate and the crystal growth.

Self-assembled array of boron oxide nanowires on Mg surface
Renzhi Ma,Yoshio Bando +1 more
TL;DR: A vitreous layer of boron oxide was formed on Mg ribbons by infrared irradiation of B 2 O 3 powders (10:1 in molar ratio) as mentioned in this paper.
