Fong,Ramamoorthy Ramesh,Ramamoorthy Ramesh,Lane W. Martin,Lane W. Martin +31 more
TL;DR: Systems that exhibit phase competition, order parameter coexistence, and emergent order parameter topologies constitute a major part of modern condensed-matter physics and are observed to be found in PbTiO3/Sr TiO3 superlattices.
Amorphization mechanism of SrIrO3 electrocatalyst: How oxygen redox initiates ionic diffusion and structural reorganization
Gang Wan,John W. Freeland,Jan Kloppenburg,Guido Petretto,Jocienne N. Nelson,Ding-Yuan Kuo,Cheng-Jun Sun,Jianguo Wen,J. Trey Diulus,Gregory S. Herman,Yongqi Dong,Yongqi Dong,Ronghui Kou,Jingying Sun,Shuo Chen,Kyle Shen,Darrell G. Schlom,Darrell G. Schlom,Gian-Marco Rignanese,Geoffroy Hautier,Dillon D. Fong,Zhenxing Feng,Hua Zhou,Jin Suntivich +23 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the structural evolution of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) of the SrIrO3 OER electrocatalyst and showed that the structural reorganization facilitated by coupled ionic diffusions is essential to the disordered structure of the OER.

Phonon localization in heat conduction
Maria N. Luckyanova,Jonathan Mendoza,Hong Lu,Bai Song,Shengxi Huang,Jiawei Zhou,Mingda Li,Yongqi Dong,Yongqi Dong,Hua Zhou,Joseph A. Garlow,Lijun Wu,Brian J. Kirby,Alexander J. Grutter,Alexander A. Puretzky,Yimei Zhu,Mildred S. Dresselhaus,Arthur C. Gossard,Gang Chen +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal conductivities of GaAs/AlAs superlattices with ErAs nanodots randomly distributed at the interfaces were measured and shown to indicate a transition from ballistic to diffusive transport.

Suppression of Structural Phase Transition in VO2 by Epitaxial Strain in Vicinity of Metal-insulator Transition
Mengmeng Yang,Yuanjun Yang,Bin Hong,Lei Wang,Kai Hu,Yongqi Dong,Han Xu,Haoliang Huang,Jiangtao Zhao,Haiping Chen,Li Song,Huanxin Ju,Junfa Zhu,Jun Bao,Xiaoguang Li,Yueliang Gu,Tieying Yang,Xingyu Gao,Zhenlin Luo,Chen Gao +19 more
TL;DR: Density functional theoretical calculations confirmed that the tetragonal phase across the MIT can be both in insulating and metallic states in the strained (001)-VO2/TiO2 thin films and decoupled coactions of structural and electronic phase transitions.

Investigation of the Hydrolysis of Perovskite Organometallic Halide CH3NH3PbI3 in Humidity Environment
Jiangtao Zhao,Bing Cai,Zhenlin Luo,Yongqi Dong,Yi Zhang,Han Xu,Bin Hong,Yuanjun Yang,Liangbin Li,Wenhua Zhang,Chen Gao +10 more
TL;DR: In situ synchrotron radiation x-ray diffraction was combined with microscopy and gravimetric analysis to study the degradation process of perovskite organometallic halide in moisture, and the results reveal that intermediate monohydrated CH3NH3PbI3·H2O is detected and the final decomposition products are PbI2 and aqueous CH3 NH3I.
