Effects of temperature gradient on methane hydrate formation and dissociation processes and sediment heat transfer characteristics
TL;DR: In this article , a 240 mm height reactor was used to simulate hydrate sediment with the temperature gradient of approximately 0.026 °C/mm in height, and the presence of temperature gradient caused the difference in the height of hydrate-bearing region and the height expanded with formation pressure, and then the hydrates were dissociated by depressurization to 2.5 MPa in three production rates of 0.1, 2.3 and 60 ln/min.

Density Measurement and PC-SAFT/tPC-PSAFT Modeling of the CO2 + H2O System over a Wide Temperature Range
TL;DR: In this paper, the densities of CO2 + H2O solutions were measured using a magnetic suspension balance with a high-pressure measurement cell, and the partial molar volumes calculated from the experimental densities had a good agreement with the model proposed by Sedlbauer et al.

Numerical modeling of thermal evolution in the contact aureole of a 0.9 m thick dolerite dike in the Jurassic siltstone section from Isle of Skye, Scotland
TL;DR: In this paper, a heat transfer model analysis of thermal evolution in the contact aureole of a 0.9m thick dolerite dike in the Jurassic siltstone section from Isle of Skye, Scotland based on the constraints from the two types of vitrinite-reflectance geothermometers as well as geochemistry and burial history of host rocks was presented.

Study of Density Driven Convection in a Hele-Shaw Cell with Application to the Carbon Sequestration in Aquifers
TL;DR: In this paper, a series of CO 2 solute-driven convection laboratory tests were performed in transparent vertical Hele-Shaw cells with a 1.2 mm gap that contained brine water overlain by gas phase and visualization of convective phenomena was achieved with the help of bromocresol purple completely solved into the brine.
