Effect of γ-ray irradiation on the germinating characteristics of wheat seed

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of gamma irradiation on the long-term growth of wheat seeds were investigated and it was found that the length of buds of irradiated wheat seeds diminished, the roots of the wheat seeds disappeared, and no germinations in irradiated seed was found.

TL;DR: In this paper, the HP treatments significantly increased (P < 0.05) the modulus of elasticity (MOE) and the Modulus of rupture (MOR) of the densified wood at selected conditions.

Kinetics of Escherichia coli inactivation in frozen aqueous suspensions by high pressure and its application to frozen chicken meat
TL;DR: In this article, high pressure destruction kinetics of Escherichia coli (ATCC 25922) in frozen and unfrozen aqueous suspensions were evaluated and a six-log reduction in E. coli was achieved in frozen samples after pressure treatment at > 350-MPa (example: 350MPa, 3min or 400 MPa, 1min).
