Shape-Aware Organ Segmentation by Predicting Signed Distance Maps
Yuan Xue,Hui Tang,Zhi Qiao,Guanzhong Gong,Yong Yin,Zhen Qian,Chao Huang,Wei Fan,Xiaolei Huang +8 more
- 03 Apr 2020
TL;DR: By converting the segmentation task into predicting an SDM, this work shows that the proposed model with SDM learning produces smoother segmentation results with smaller Hausdorff distance and average surface distance, thus proving the effectiveness of the method.

Shape-Aware Organ Segmentation by Predicting Signed Distance Maps.
Yuan Xue,Hui Tang,Zhi Qiao,Guanzhong Gong,Yong Yin,Zhen Qian,Chao Huang,Wei Fan,Xiaolei Huang +8 more
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors proposed a signed distance map (SDM) based segmentation model to improve the smoothness and continuity in shape of the target organ segmentation.

CorGAN: Context aware Recurrent Generative Adversarial Network for Medical Image Generation
Zhi Qiao,Zhen Qian,Hui Tang,Guanzhong Gong,Yong Yin,Chao Huang,Wei Fan +6 more
- 16 Dec 2020
TL;DR: In this paper, a Context Aware Residual Recurrent Generative Adversarial Network (CorGAN) is proposed for sequential medical image generation, which jointly exploits the spatial dependencies of the sequences as well as the peer image generation with GANs.
