Third-order nonlinear optical adjusting behavior in azobenzene metal complexes
Chang Xing,Jianxun Liu,Linpo Yang,Zhichao Shao,Wenjuan Xu,Yujie Zhao,Kai Li,Yinglin Song,Hongwei Hou +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, two attractive metal complexes third-order NLO switches, which are far superior to congeneric optical switches in terms of their performance conversion, versatility, and fast response, were successfully designed and synthesized.
Synthesis and properties of benzothiadiazole-pyridine system: The modulation of optical feature
TL;DR: In this paper, two new benzothiadiazole (BTD)-based compounds 1 and 2 were elaborately designed and synthesized, to explore the modulation on the interesting optical properties.

The syntheses, crystal structures and optical limiting effects of HgI2 adduct polymers bridged by bipyridyl-based ligands
TL;DR: In this article, two coordination polymers incorporating mercury(II) iodide, [Hg (tmp)I2]n (1) (tmp=4,4′-trimethylene dipyridine) and[Hg(azobpy)I 2 ]n (2) (azob py=3,3′-azobispyridine), have been synthesized via the self-assembly reaction in solution.

Novel photo-controllable third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) switches based on azobenzene derivatives
Qiong Xie,Zhichao Shao,Yujie Zhao,Linpo Yang,Qiong Wu,Wenjuan Xu,Kai Li,Yinglin Song,Hongwei Hou +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, three new azobenzene-based photo-controllable third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) switches were designed and synthesized, which exhibit strong reverse saturation absorption (RSA) before UV light irradiation, after irradiated by 365'nm light for 1'min, strong self-focusing behaviors (positive refraction) are observed.
